Adding Another Layer of Censorship Resistance with Creator Subscriptions

Hey, everyone! With Creator Subscriptions, we're not just introducing new monetization options, we’re also adding another layer of censorship resistance. The content will be encrypted, and only subscribers will be able to view it.

In this clip:

• Content encryption using memos via proxy
• The content cannot be accessed from other UIs
• Only the author can use their memo key to decrypt the content through other UIs
• Full autonomy over monetization and content ownership

With Creator Subscriptions, authors aren’t dependent solely on the reward pool. They can create valuable content that attracts an audience and earn revenue in a new way.

The content will be fully encrypted and only visible to subscribers while they remain subscribed. The consumer doesn’t use their own memo key to decrypt the content; this is done via a proxy system managed by one of our accounts, so access is granted only during the subscription period.

If the platform were to disappear in a worst-case scenario, the author could still access their content using the memo key through a block explorer, recovering all their data for use elsewhere.
