Friends, it is used as a traditional game in our country, that is, in our river-based country, it is very much appreciated. Especially in the places where these competitions start, these boats appear and participate in the game.
Our country is called riverine Bangladesh. Among the many traditions of this country, this traditional game is a boat racing competition. Boats of different sizes come here from far and wide and in pairs they have to go to a specific place. The one who can reach it first is considered the winner. The prize of this game is a refrigerator for the winner and a television for the one who takes second place.
Friends, the boat that you are seeing today is a boat that was bought by collecting money from every hardworking person in our village. This boat was bought on the initiative of the villagers. It costs about 5.5 lakh taka. We had to work hard to buy this boat. Everyone tried their best to buy this boat. We can especially say that no money earned through illegal means was used in this boat. This means that the people themselves bought the boat on their own initiative.
This huge boat is made only of ghazari wood. You can easily understand how much ghazari wood costs and you will definitely be amazed that its price is so high. Skilled craftsmen have been used to paint this boat and skilled carpenters have been used to build it, who are directly involved in all these works.
