I learned from the salesman that he knew my dad. My dad once worked at Southern Engine and Gearbox, and later moved to Edwardstown Mazda before be moved to Melbourne and promptly died :P
It was good to deal with someone who knew him in a different way than I did.
The servicing, I've been going to Mawson Lakes, because they're much closer, and they've been good to me, too. :)
I'm going there tomorrow to test drive a vehicle, they've been pretty good to deal with, the young girl is quite new to sales but enthusiastic and isn't trying to feed me bullshit. I've heard their service department are pretty good.
New car for the girlfriend? The CX-60s with the inline 6 look delightful, but they're still not as nice as my Mazda6 in terms of luxury and features imo.
Yeah, thinking a new "little car", possibly the top of the range CX-60, the GT I think it's called. Not sure yet, trying out a few different things, that's one of them though.
Just don't go for the 3. Friend got one and I hate driving it. Blind spots everywhere.
CX-5 goes well, but its a bit dated. If my car was written off tomorrow, CX-60 would be the closest direct replacement. Otherwise, I'd be looking at something like a ... another one of what I have already, but probably in poorer condition - because they don't make them anymore. :(
I'm looking forward to a decision but feel a long way off from one on the vehicle at this stage. There's a few on the list and dealerships seem to want to make the process long and drawn out. I've been driving one per week. Narrowed down a little.

There's too many shitboxes out there at the moment.
I'd personally only consider Mazda, BMW, Lexus at this point.
