I went walking on the beach recently and, as always, it made me feel pretty good - relaxed, calm and happy. Although, I hate fucken and because that shit gets everywhere and it managed to work its way into areas I didn't even know I had...but mostly I was relaxed, calm and happy.
As usual, I enjoyed the sunset; there's something about them that feels nice, like getting a hug from a super hot girl with big boobs....Ok, maybe not that good. It's like a really awesome chocolate donut and coffee...Ok, maybe not that nice. It's like...well, I guess an awesome sunset is like nothing else on Earth.
As I walked I watched the sunset.
Not really, my girl was wearing a bikini and I was watching her a lot of the time.
As I walked I watched the sunset now and then and felt pretty bloody happy about having such an amazing and free display of natures beauty all to myself, almost to myself.
I recall thinking, this is not shit.

So, with not shit sunsets in mind I thought I'd see what y'all have got to offer.
If you have a not shit sunset image you'd like to share then do so below. If you have a shit one you can share that also, but it'll not have as much impact as a non shit one I guess.

I'm getting beautiful sunsets all day long now, as the sun is starting to set when it's rising in winter 🤣 But I still don't have a good camera. I'm looking into really good phones, there are some with optical (not digital!) zoom now, up to 10x - that is very impressive. But also expensive. I'll see if I can afford that.
Anyway, this is from 3 or 4 days ago:
I'm enjoying the time here very thoroughly. I got lucky with the weather so far, it's not as damp and grey as I remembered. We took a long walk with Lily yesterday, even saw some deer (2 albinos in the herd!). I tried to take a picture, but the camera...
This is from this morning - not sunset, but dawn, to show that there is some similarity in colors:
A nice couple pictures there, I like the second...sort of feels mysterious, the silhouette of the trees and all. It actually reminds me of a hunting trip I did in a remote part of Australia. Early mornings prior to the sun rising and then the colour staining the sky as I hunted. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoy sunrises a lot. When it was still me doing all the baking, I usually took a break around dawn and had a coffee on the doorstep, the oven doing it's thing in the back, keeping my back warm and cozy, and the fresh and cold mountain air punching my face at around 5.30am. Good times.
Do you by any chance have insights on good cellphones with good cameras, for under $500? I'm between a Xiaomi 15T (but I hate all the ads and spying that Xiaomi does, plus the bloatware) or a Google Pixel 8 or 9 (but those don't have optical zoom...). Samsung has the same amount of bloatware as Xiaomi, so...
I actually use a Samsung S22 Ultra and the photos are pretty good. Most of the ones on my posts are taken with it. But it's not a cheap phone. I think they have the S25 Ultra out so maybe the 22 is cheaper now? Mine cost fucken $1980 AUD. (Bloody ridiculous)
The bloateare is shit. I mean, I remember hojes that didn't have anybody that, or the AI cuntery. Well, I remember phones that didn't have cameras too I guess.
I really couldn't advise on a decent phone to be honest. My girl has a Samsung A73 which has been good but I don't know what the price will look like and then the bloatware issues all over again. I hate Apple products so not that. Do you have Huawei there? One of my brother's has one and it's been ok.
Yeah no Apple for me. I think I'll settle for a Motorola - I was surprised they're still around. But the Edge 60 Pro seems to be very good at a comparable price. The S25 Ultra is amazing, 10x optical zoom! But with all that bloatware, I can get the Xiaomi 15T with Leica Cameras.
The optical zoom is a first timer now, so I hope that it will become a regular feature. One of my workers told me today that the 15T is "like a real camera with cellphone functions".
I know how to remove the bloatware, I did it many times - but it always gets installed again with every major update, and those are very hard to prevent these days. That's why I was thinking about a Google Pixel, as those come with a quite pure Android - and all the bloatware are the Google applications which I use anyway.
I'll talk to my brother tomorrow again. He suggested spending 200€ more for a Pixel 10 like it was peanuts 😅 If you see the quality of my pictures improve radically in the next weeks - you know why!
I'd be quite interested in hearing about what you end up with. I'm not attached to Samsung, it was just the best alternative for my needs after I got rid of all my Apple rubbish. I used to love Nokia back in the day, bulletproof, and had some (original) BlackBerry's which were awesome. So, I'm pretty keen to hear about how you go and to bank options for when I need to change.
Will do! I loved my Nokia, too, and had hopes when they were bought up and re-booted. But that didn't work out too well as far as I know. Never got back to the "old" quality that makes for so many good jokes.
Unfortunately, living on east side of Italy gives me good sunrises on the sea but not sunsets... Although going on holidays on the west solves the problem, that's from this August
I also find fashionating the bad weather at the sea, this one is not less good
Great bad weather photo, really cool!
As I have said before, prolly will again cuz I am losing my fucking mind. The sunrise is the best of the two events. Mainly due to the fact that I am awake, energized and noone else has fucked up my day yet. (Most of the time)
Nice, although driving into the sun can suck.
Better than a sunset, is a hug from a super hot girl with big boots at sunset! Here's one from a place where they were stunning (the sunsets, not the hot girls), a paradise called Boracay:
Oh yeah, you're totally right!
Can we please see the boobs now...
Just saw some this morning. Good ones too...now I'm off to work so will have to wait until later.
I love the sunsets on the beach and especially on the promenade with the dark figures of the city buildings in the background, whenever I pass by the place I take pictures....
Nice one, the reflections add a certain mood to the shot.
I love them!!!
The fog has cleared, but the sky is still cloudy.
That millimeter of sun on the horizon is all I saw of the sun today.
I'm jealous of your golden sunlit sky, I'll wait a few more months for something like that 🥶
Sun is something Australia has plenty of, no doubt.
Not the greatest quality, but this is a sunset photo @mrsbozz took of me taking a sunset photo...
A photo of a sunset with a person taking a photo of a sunset within the photo. Does that make two sunsets?
Killer. That last one reminds me of opal gems, the way the colour is shot through in golds and yellows.
I just want sunshine on my damn skin haha. We dont get that this season. Yesterday we had a sunny day, first time in about a month. Even news wrote about a sunny day heh.
No sun? Move to Australia, there's plenty.
Nope, 99% clouds and when it is sunny then it's low on horizon. I regularly dream of living in the south these times😄. Fortunately, days will start to get longer again after a week.

STOPNice, the silhouette of the street light makes it interesting.
