Anyway, we're pushing into the weekend, it's Friday tomorrow and I figured I'd rattle the cage, see if there's anyone around who wants to get a little engaged on Hive. I wasn't sure how to make that happen so ended up deciding on asking people to post a single (that means one) picture below in the comments and tell us about it. I've chosen a black and white photo in this post and if you want to do the same but you don't have to.

Here's a picture I took at a shoe store. I fell in love with these shoes and ended up buying them and wearing them for a very special occasion. I have another such occasion this weekend, a more casual one, and am planning to wear these with my favorite blue Levis and a white off the shoulder blouse. I'm going to wand-curl my hair and if my guy takes his eyes off me for one second I think I'll kick him in the shin with these shoes. 🙃

Given the season, I thought I’d share a photo of my Christmas tree, like me, a bit battered and worn. I don’t do Christmas as a rule, but a good friend gave it to me years ago and, for reasons I can’t fully explain, I’ve never been able to get rid of it.
A perfect time of year to break out the Christmas tree because, well you know.
I'm not a massive fan of Christmas to be honest. Too commercialised. I went to midnight mass one year though, a girl wanted me to go and so I went. Anyway, I was a little concerned I'd get struck by a bolt of lightning on the way in but seemingly I'm good to go,access all areas (the cathedral, not the girl). Little did they know the devil was under their roof. (The handsome devil I mean.) 🤔😂
Lot of people just look at hive price and as it's low they just go away... Their loss not ours on that case
I will go with this, Porto Santo, a very very beautiful island I didn't even know existed before going there for a trip, great views, shores and natural elements

I can only talk well about it, my second best travel ever just beside Mexico... Little island with a lot of cool things (included a fossil desert, afaik now it can't be visited anymore to protect it, I has the luck to walk inside it)
I like fossils and stuff like that. We have a fossilised forest here too...very cool to see.

Hello mate. Just a quick note to say hello. It has been quiet. I've been extremely quiet the last couple months, but see some light at the end of the tunnel. We've even cut back the holiday decorating this year due to time conflicts. But here is our little xmas tree celebration, brightened up with a couple colorful O-lights. (Knew the darn things would come in handy for something!) lol. Enjoy your holiday, and will back to posting more very soon I think.

Today's task - starting to pack up stuff for mom. That book shelf is first, as there are many books from my childhood that nobody will ever read again. Preserve the classics and best ones, ditch the rest. And then move the shelf out of the way.
That's the "problem" with books...they take up room.
I have so many, more than I can count, and am loath to let any go. I also don't like digital books so I guess I'll have to accept the shelves and shelves of books. Actually, I have them in my home office which I call my library sometimes as well. Loads of books. It's quite a nice place to escape to when I need some peace and quiet.
I've been quiet on Hive purely because the year-end this year has been so hectically busy! We have so many jobs that have been/still are finishing this week and next week before we close that it has kept me occupied and exhausted.
But I am starting to recover and looking forward to the holidays.
The picture is on one of our sites. We did the ducting as well as the wall with the steel beams.
It's been a bit like that for me all year, but then it always seems this way every year I guess.

I'm using a mix of annual leave and days off in lieu (TOIL) entitlements so I'm retaining a heap of A/L. I accrue TOIL days every time I work weekends which is quite a lot as I travel for work a lot...many saved up to use as I like or get paid out in money. It's a pretty good deal.
It's been quite a bit quieter than it had been in the past. I think a lot of it has to do with the price of HIVE. So many people are just here to pull out the rewards, so when the price is down like this they don't see the point.
People are weird. during low prices they could gather more Hive than during bull markets...I was already sad when recently I was away from Hive for a few days(because when my pc needed to be fixed.) It was just a few days but I already felt like I am missing out. walking away for months or longer seems insane to me.
I just keep doing the same thing I always do. The price is whatever the price is.

Shot from our recent snow a little over a week ago. Wasn't a huge amount of snow, snapped this one because I was entertained, could tell they'd just said nope to the weather. That's all melted now but they're giving another 3-5 inches of snow for tonight, gonna have to get out there and take some photos in that weird light that comes with snow at night in the city.
Still got my ears on over here. How many times have we seen this cycle now? Price goes down and suddenly it's a ghost town. I ain't mad, just going to keep stacking hive and chuckling at the fair-weather types.
Snow like this is unheard of in my part of Australia although we certainly get it in other parts. It all looks rather nice to me but I've not had to love with it so maybe that's a skewed perception.
As for the other...yeah that was my point...weak fuckers who only stay around to extract. Little do they realise that in times like now it's better to post well and engage as there's less competition so possibly more eyes on the posts that are around. It's been my process all the way through and I know it works.

I ran a script yesterday to see what my Hive performance was last month. One of the outputs is engagement. The number of comments one did receive and the comments one did wrote.
I have to say based on that I am a lucky hiver 😁.
I do miss the engagement reports of Asher. While it did force hivers to comment, it did increase the overall engagement.

People shouldn't need to be "forced" to comment, they should want to. This is supposed to be a fun environment where people connect...it's become a job to most though, and their posts and commenting reflect that. No passion and personality.
