Sago pearls are widely known to be made into delicious food or drinks, I used to not be a fan of sago pearl cakes but with this kind of cake preparation I came to like it with the addition of other flours making this sago pearl cake a favorite among all groups, both adults and children, even at every event there is always this sago pearl cake, this sago pearl cake is not only cheap but also very easy to process, the results are also very delicious, basically for me it is very satisfying, because this is also not the first time I have made this cake.
Sago pearl cake that my mother often made since a long time ago, my mother used to always make this cake to be taken to the rice fields as a bekel for breakfast, because my mother used to be a rice farmer in the rice fields, so she always made cakes for bekel every morning, because making it is very easy and does not take a long time, so that very early in the morning the cake is ready and ready to be taken to the rice fields. The ingredients used are not that many, only using wheat flour, tapioca flour, pandan flavoring for those who like it, coconut milk and granulated sugar, plus a little vanilla powder to make it fragrant, almost forgot the main ingredient is sago pearl
Materials used
5 tablespoons of wheat flour
5 tablespoons of tapioca flour
600 ml of coconut milk
4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
A pinch of salt
A pinch of vanilla
1 tablespoon of pandan paste
Manufacturing Procedure
Boil the sago pearls in boiling water, boil until the sago pearls are soft, approximately 20 minutes.
Take a bowl, mix the flour, tapioca flour, granulated sugar, salt, vanilla and coconut milk, stir until the dough is no longer bubbly, then strain the dough and divide the dough into 2 equal parts. One dough put pandan paste.
Take the sago pearls and put them into the white mixture,Then prepare the mold, put the dough into the mold, don't fill it to the top, just put in half, then steam.
Then steam until half cooked, and then add the green mixture until the mold is full, and steam again for 15 minutes.
Once the dough has hardened, it means it is cooked. Remove and serve.
RESULTS
The taste of the cake is delicious, sweet, just right, there's something missing, the cake sticks to the mold hehhe.. because earlier I forgot to put a little cooking oil in the mold, as a result the cake is not so pretty, guys.
But never mind, the important thing is the taste of the cake is really delicious, even though it's a bit messy in the mold, but next time I will remember to apply a little cooking oil to the mold of this cake.
