Not many people know that you can easily prepare this snack at home, especially as a casual tea time dish when gathering with family. I usually make mung beans into coconut milk porridge, but this is the first time I've tried frying them at home. Usually I often buy it at the market, I really like this cake, so learning to make it becomes a must, right? To make it easier for me to prepare if the market is not available. Yeah lately it's been hard to find, probably because all the ingredients are now soaring in price. And that makes the seller not produce it, well the fast alternative is to prepare it yourself, right? Although there is still a lot to learn and the texture is still very messy. So here are the preparation steps!

Materials Required

Main Ingredients

Its sweet and savory taste makes this dish has an authentic taste and will certainly make anyone who enjoys it will be tempted!. After preparing the ingredients, I will do a step-by-step preparation!.

Making Procedure

Step 1

Soak the beans for about 3 hours, so that they soften, or you can soak them overnight when going to bed at night. Then boil the beans in enough water to boil.

Step 4

After cooling, add 2 tablespoons of flour, or if the texture is easy to shape, you don't need to add flour. Stir until well mixed then form the green bean dough, flat round shape.

Gandasturi fried snacks are ready to eat, very delicious enjoyed while warm with tea or coffee in the afternoon. Make sure you enjoy it on a rainy day ahh more delicious, warm cake with a glass of coffee in favorable weather like now can indeed spend several pieces of cake that I prepared.

I'm very happy even though the shape is still not heavy, especially the hardest thing when forming the inner bean dough made me almost overwhelmed because of its soft texture. I think I should use a non-stick skillet to maximize the result.

I was quite satisfied with the taste, the sweetness was just right, the savory and of course the final word was very good. The filling is very soft with a crunchy texture on the outside of the cake. And that makes this dish very balanced so I'm sure anyone who enjoys it will definitely like it.

Thank you for visiting my post !

Damn you made nice post out if this and now I really want to try to make this snack myself.

Does it matter what kind of beans you use for this? They look like 'regular' green beans?

I think the use of different types of bean greatly affects the flavor, because each type of bean has different flavor characteristics when processed. Of course, the food that is processed will greatly affect the result later.

I recommend using these regular green beans only, and you can also use green beans without the skin that is better. Good luck @karinxxl 🥰
