First Time Making Steamed Cupcakes

Cakes that have their own characteristics have become very popular in my area, including this pink cake. This cake is a favorite cake of many people, besides its delicious taste, it also has an attractive color.




Today I will invite you to prepare one of the favorite cakes in my area, this cake is found in many traditional markets in the morning and even in coffee shops that prepare breakfast. This cake is indeed that good and favored by many people. It has similarities to a sponge cake but this cake is identical to vegan ingredients without eggs and of course has a soft texture.




Cake Mangkok

Kue mangkok is a cake that is processed by steaming from rice flour with yeast as a fermentation ingredient to get a soft and fluffy cake. Well in my area there are a lot of these cakes that are pink in color, and have a blooming shape and are cooked in small bowl molds so they are known as cupcakes.

Pink in color and soft in shape, this cake is loved by all. I first made this cake, I think it is a traditional cake that is very tasty and has a distinctive and soft texture.




Ingredients

125 grams of fallow flour
65 gram wheat flour
½ teaspoon instant yeast
100 grams granulated sugar
250 ml water
½ teaspoon baking powder
Food coloring to taste




Cooking Procedure


Step 1


Stir rice flour with wheat flour until both are mixed, then add instant yeast.

Step 2


Heat the sugar in water, dissolve it until the sugar dissolves.

Step 3


Then add the sugar water to the flour that was stirred earlier. Then stir evenly until everything is well mixed.

Step 4


Next add baking powder and sift the dough then add food coloring according to taste.

Step 5


Then let the dough rest for 30 minutes until fluffy and bubbly.

Step 6


Next stir the dough, then heat the mold in a steamer for 15 minutes.

Step 7


Add the dough and cook for up to 40 minutes, make sure when steamed do not open so that the cake blooms perfectly, well for the steamer coat with a cloth.

The cupcakes are ready to serve, very good to enjoy while warm, and certainly try to enjoy them in the morning when you want to go to tea I'm sure you will like it. For this cake it does have a characteristic pink color but many people now with a more unique color with a variety of colors. But still the pink color is my favorite color for this cake for some reason more impressed characteristic.

The taste is not to be doubted, very good, the sweetness is right with the softness that is so fitting in the mouth. When I bite into one bite, I can really taste it, especially the aroma of steamed cake must be really fresh and I love that.
