Still in the season of happy new year, happy new year to my great community and to everyone here I greet you all.
Am still in the village enjoying our local delicacy and this one is very proteinous and nutritious too.
Today I was carving for breadfruit as we call it ukwa in our delict this food call breadfruit has so many ways of preparing it you can fry you can also cook.
I love the cooked one so much but is very expansive and is hard for me to buy it in the market because of the price.
So as we travel to the village I have to prepare it there in the village because we have the breadfruit tree in my compound I now decided to prepare for myself because I love eating it.
I love this breadfruit because it has a lot of health benefits and is very sweet when prepare and don't need much ingredients to be sweet. I prepare this breadfruit with full ingredients and it was very sweet I also enjoyed my breadfruit very well and I don't like to share my breadfruit with anyone that is how much I love to eat it.
INGREDIENTS USED
2 cups of breadfruit (ukwa)
1/4 cup of red oil
5 piece of fresh pepper
Salt to taste
Water.
PROCEDURE
To prepare breadfruit is very easy and simple and can be prepare with few things and I will explain it step by step.
STEP 1
I will first wash my breadfruit with little salt to make sand to remove easy after washing I will now put in my pot add water and cook.
STEP 2
I will allow my breadfruit to be soft before I will now add my ingredients.
I will put my red oil.
STEP 3
I will now wash my fresh pepper and pound before I will now add to my breadfruit.
STEP 4
I will now add my salt and stir.
Here my breadfruit (ukwa) is ready.
I didn't put onions because is optional even red oil is optional I add red oil because red oil has a good taste it add to food and also makes food to looks good.

I love this dish, it's called Onye in my dialect. It's so delicious but very expensive here too, so we eat it once in awhile
