Hello HIVE friends, if you like to see my posts, I'm sure you can start to understand that some of my recipes in the past few months have not used flour anymore and instead I use oatmeal to replace wheat flour and I am grateful that the recipes I have tried with oatmeal have always been successful and one more ingredient that I have learned to avoid is the use of granulated sugar which also worked. but what would it feel like if the cake had no sweet taste and fragrant aroma. it turns out that the sweet taste can be produced by choosing the right ingredients so that the natural sweetness of the cake can appear without hurting my tongue which has started to get used to not consuming granulated sugar. even my husband and friends when I started introducing several types of dishes without granulated sugar, their tongues could accept it well because the natural sweetness was felt on the tongue.
In addition to flour and sugar that I can replace, I always maintain the use of simple ingredients because I don't like cooking that takes too much time and is too complicated because of my busy work schedule. Therefore, to make this banana cake with a delicious, soft and sweet taste, I need simple ingredients such as those below, namely:
1. 4 ripe bananas (This type of banana can be anything, as long as it is a banana that has a sweet taste, because there are some bananas that have a slightly sour taste when processed to make cakes.)
2. 5 tablespoons of oatmeal
3. 50 ML of water
4. 100 grams of grated coconut
5. chocolate bars to taste
6. 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
and these simple ingredients also do not require a lot of time and complicated work to produce satisfactory results. The steps I need to make this banana cake are:
1. oatmeal that I have placed on a plate before then I add bananas to it
2. then I mash the banana using a spoon only and the results obtained like the photo I show have a rough texture because it is the oatmeal that I did not puree at all
3. the next step is to mix the grated coconut, stir well
4. then add cornstarch, stir again
5. and finally add the water and I use this water a little so that my dough is softer and blends then stir all the ingredients until everything is evenly mixed and there are no lumps
6. the next step is I slice the chocolate bar for the topping so that it has a variety of flavors and I put the chocolate slices on the bottom of the mold that I will use
7. then add the dough and steam for 10 minutes over medium heat
8. And you can see the results, but let it sit for a while until the banana cake is cold and ready to be eaten and of course can be removed from the mold.
and this is my first try and it worked right away. even without granulated sugar but because the banana has a sweet taste so the banana cake that I made automatically has a sweet taste too even on my tongue this cake is very sweet. for the next making I will try to reduce the amount of bananas and I will increase the oatmeal.
but currently my cake is perfectly successful. wait for my next recipe and hopefully I am still committed to making recipes without sugar and flour, my friends.

Wow these look really good, I've made banana sponge cake by mixing cocoa powder in the batter but not adding shredded coconut like you did. This is something new for me.
They are delicious and I really like the texture!.
Thank you for visiting my blog @nurfay
I think it tastes best with palm sugar or honey. Duh, with a hot americano it's perfect for spend time with netflix.
Palm sugar is the best choice besides being cheap. However, when I made this recipe, my supply of palm sugar ran out @isdarmady
Que rico se ve provocativo con la mermelada una gran torta de plátano.
