Hello friends,
I hope you are all doing well. I am also fine. Today, I am sharing a recipe with you called Masale ki Mug Dal Recipe. This recipe is very tasty.
If there is one thing I like the most about Indian cuisine, it is the extensive use of lentils. No meal is complete without lentils on the menu, and there is hardly a day when the same lentil is cooked for two consecutive days. This mug dal with onions, ginger, garlic, and tomatoes is perfect for winter meals. Everyone loves to eat such food.
Let's learn how to make it. To make this, I need the following ingredients:
- 100 grams of whole green gram lentils (khadi mug ki dal)
- 1 tomato
- 2 medium-sized potatoes
- Salt as per taste
For tempering:
- Some cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- Whole dried red chili
- Red chilli powder 1/2 spoon
- Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
Recipe
- Clean and soak the lentils in water for about 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, take a pressure cooker, add the lentils, salt, chopped potatoes in two parts, chopped tomatoes, and a pinch of turmeric powder. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles.
- Once the steam is released, check if the lentils are cooked well.
- Now, let's prepare the tempering. Heat some oil in a pan, add whole red chilies, chopped onions, and garlic. Fry until golden brown.
- Then add red chili powder and garam masala. Stir for a minute.
- Now, add the cooked lentils to the tempering. Cook for another minute.
- The masala dal is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
