My Native food

I always feel happy when ever my mother in-law comes around because she is such a loving and caring mother. Greetings to you guys, you are welcome to my blog once again hope you guys are doing good in your various places.

Ok guys there is this native food that I made for my mother in-law, you know this old mother's with native food is like tea and bread one can not go without each other. When I served her the food she was like how do you know my best food she was just surprised about the food because she was not expecting it at all.

As a daughter in-law I told her that is my responsibility to know what will be good for her at her age. She don't need to be eating anyhow food in this age of hers now, especially junk foods.

Now is time to show you guys how I made this native food that am talking about.

INGREDIENTS
Cocoyam or you can also call it ( EDE)
8 piece of fresh pepper
Ugba another name for it is(oil bean)
Salt for taste
Small size of onion
Water
1/2 of red oil
Vegetable leaf

PROCEDURE
In this procedure you are going to learn a lot about this native food. I will take it step by step for better understanding.

STEP 1
I put my cocoyam in a clean bowl for wash with water.

Than after washing it I put it into my pot to cook for like 20 minutes

While my cocoyam is still on fire I start to prepare my ingredients to be used.

STEP 2
I put my vegetables leaf in a clean bowl with water and added salt to it and wash

After washing it I cut it into a plate and set aside

Than wash my fresh pepper and put in my hand blender to blend

After blending it i start to cut my onion and put them into a clean plate and set aside

Than after that I checked my cocoyam if it has been well cooked

Yes our cocoyam is well cooked now so I start to select them one after the other into my clean plate

Than peel them into a clean bowl and set it aside

STEP 3
I set my pot on fire to dry water

After drying the water I put my red oil into my pot I don't want it to bleach.

So I add my chopped onions into it

And also add my pepper into it and mix together

After all that I add my salt for taste

Than add my oil bean ( ugba) into it also and mix them together

After adding my oil bean I add my vegetables leaf and also mix

After a while I add my cocoyam (EDE) into my pot and mixed them all together for a good taste

After mixing them all you can see how face looks like so good 👍

This food is natural and good for health is not only for old people alone you can try it in your home and thank me later

Thank you for your recipe, it looks very healthy, it is also a different way to prepare this ingredient, if I'm not mistaken here in my country it is called Ocumo.
