Good evening to all my dear Hive friends! Today, I’m delighted to share a unique and creative recipe that I recently prepared and would love to share with you all. This dish is made using simple onions found at home, an ingredient cherished worldwide. Onions are a staple in almost every kitchen and add depth and flavor to countless dishes. They are often used as a base, but have you ever tried making onions the star of your dish?

This recipe pairs beautifully with rice or can even be enjoyed as a snack during tea time. I’m excited to share this simple yet incredibly tasty preparation method that will surely amaze your taste buds.

Let’s dive into how to make this flavorful onion dish!

Required Ingredients...

🍀 About 3 medium sized onions.
🍀 A green chilli pod or two.
🍀 Some Centella asiatica
🍀 Some chopped garlic.
🍀 Some chopped ginger.
🍀 4 Teaspoon of Corn flour
🍀 2 tablespoon of Tomato sauce.
🍀 1 teaspoon of Chili powder
🍀 1 teaspoon of Pepper powder.
🍀 Salt as needed.
🍀 4 teaspoons of Wheat flour.
🍀 Coconut oil for frying

Method of making....

First, wash the onions thoroughly and slice them thinly. Take a small portion of the onions and chop them as finely as possible. Similarly, thinly slice the green chilies and Centella asiatica
leaves.

Next, take a bowl and add the thinly sliced onions. To this, add chopped garlic, ginger, salt, chili powder. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.

Next, add wheat flour and corn flour to the mixture. Combine everything well until it forms a cohesive dough. Shape the mixture into small balls.

Next, place a pan on the stove and add coconut oil. Once the oil is heated, carefully add the prepared onion balls to the pan. Fry them until they turn golden brown.

Meanwhile, take two tablespoons of corn flour and mix it with a small amount of water to form a smooth paste. Set it aside for later use.

Next, place a pan on the stove and add about one tablespoon of coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, add a small amount of ginger and garlic paste and sauté until aromatic. Then, add chopped green chilies and a bit of tomato sauce, stirring well to combine. Add a small amount of water to the mixture and continue to stir. Finally, add the prepared corn flour paste to the pan, mix thoroughly, and cook until the mixture thickens slightly.

Then, add the fried onion balls and the chopped Centella asiatica leaves into the pan. Gently mix everything together, ensuring the sauce coats the onion balls evenly. Once combined, quickly remove the pan from the stove to avoid overcooking.
