Trump is just being Trump and these protestors are proving why he became president. He represents a crazy sector of the american people. If it is true that the economy cannot be totally paralized, it is also true that the USA does not have the mechanisms that allowed, say Taiwan, Sweden, or New Zealand to combat the virus without affecting the economy that much.
From the very beginning, Trump downplayed the severity of the virus and now, despite the 60,000 deaths, he finds in these protestors the perfect environment to go back to his innitial posture.
Who cares if 100,000 people die, after all, experts were estimating 200,000 people would? The economy goes first.
I'd say, let them have it. Let them just go back to "normal" and let time speak
