Been away from the market for quite some time but no regrets since the local market has still been struggling. Just waiting for a bullish reversal before I actively get back in.
Philippine Market
PH Market still trading below 200MA, still an avoid for me.
Meanwhile, as I start planning ahead on my investments for 2026, I took the bait in buying a discounted subscription of Simply Wall StreetSimply Wall Street. I've always been looking for apps that can help manage portfolios. Already tried the free version (1 portfolio, 10 stocks only) for about a year. Now with the premium version, I'll try to see if I can utilize all other tools present within the app (e.g. Fundamental screeners, company reports, etc). So far, looking good!
My Total Portfolio. (Excluding Funds)
For a start, I like that it can show me the results of the 3 portfolios I have in time for my year end review. The Philippine Stock Market was so bad this 2026 even ending up -6.6% annual returns. This makes my portfolio look good at 10.6%.
I'm not actually a good trader. What carried through this year was my long term investment on Aboitiz Power (PSE:AP) which I have been cost averaging for many years now. I actually sold some shares a bit this year to take some profits.
The rest are 'ipit' stocks (held at a loss) for quite some time that I've been planning to get rid off for a long time. Also started to buy Metrobank (PSE:MBT) stocks.

PSE: LPZ - to sell or buy more?
PSE: PCOR - to sell or buy more? (This one's highly leveraged, I think I'll cut my losses here).
I hope I get to be active again in trading and here in Hive blogging.
