According to some data, Buenos Aires is the city with the most bookstores per inhabitants in the world, there are 25 bookstores for every 100,000 inhabitants, clearly a lot. Given these statistics, I could not miss visiting at least one of these many bookstores that exist in this beautiful city.

What better place for a passionate lover of reading like me to visit in Buenos Aires, which is also considered the "most beautiful bookstore in the world"? This was one of the last places I visited during my trip to this beautiful city. I am happy to share this post in this community, because I know you will appreciate it as much as I do.

¿Qué mejor lugar para una apasionada amante de la lectura como yo que visitar en Buenos Aires, la que, además, consideran la "Librería más hermosa del mundo"? Este fue uno de los últimos sitios que visité durante mi viaje a esta hermosa ciudad. Estoy feliz de compartir esta publicación en esta comunidad, porque sé que la apreciarán tanto como yo.
The Ateneo Grand Splendid is located in the neighborhood of Recoleta in Buenos Aires, it is a very big and beautiful place built in what was formerly a great theater. From the entrance to the back of the theater is occupied in its entirety by many things. It consists of 4 floors distributed in themes and genres of books. I entered and did not know where to walk or what to see, I was absolutely amazed by everything I saw, especially admiring the wonderful architecture of the bookstore.

El Ateneo Grand Splendid se encuentra en el barrio de recoleta en Buenos Aires, es un sitio grandísimo y muy hermoso construido en lo que fue anteriormente un grandioso teatro. Desde la entrada hasta el fondo del teatro está ocupado en su totalidad por muchas cosas. Consta de 4 plantas distribuidas en temáticas y géneros de libros. Yo entré y no sabía hacia donde caminar ni que ver, estaba absolutamente sorprendida por todo lo que veía, sobre todo admirando la maravillosa arquitectura de la librería.

The place was crowded. It is one of the tourist sites of the place and there were people of all nationalities walking around, shopping and taking pictures of the place. On the second floor, we could see the best-selling titles, as well as diaries and other things allusive to the city and Argentina, such as, of course, Quino's well-known character, Mafalda.

El lugar estaba abarrotado. Es uno de los sitios turísticos del lugar y había personas de todas las nacionalidades caminando, comprando y haciendo fotos del sitio. If we continued walking, already in what should be the place where, some time ago, the seats would be, there were many other titles. I went to my favorite place: fantasy and juvenile, where I got a big surprise.
Not unexpectedly, I got a whole Harry Potter section, with all the books alluding to J.K. Rowling's saga. I loved this particular shelf, which had the invitation letter to Howgarts floating and also, we had a replica of platform 9 3/4 on the wall, obviously I had to take a picture as if I was walking to catch the express.

Si seguíamos caminando, ya en lo que debería ser el sitio en el que se encontrarían, tiempo atrás, las butacas, estaban muchos otros títulos. Yo me fui hacia mi sitio favorito: fantasía y juveniles, en donde me conseguí una gran sorpresa.
No era de extrañarse, conseguir toda una sección de Harry Potter, con todos los libros alusivos a la saga de J.K. Rowling. me encantó de esta estantería en particular, que tenía la carta de invitación a Howgarts flotando y además, teníamos una réplica del andén 9 3/4 en la pared, obviamente tuve que hacerme una fotografía como si estuviera caminando rumbo a coger el expreso.

In the basement, there was the kids zone and also a lot of music, both on CDs and vinyl. Unfortunately, I don't have a turntable to be able to buy anything like that, but I think that my Spotify subscription is enough for a while. On the two upper floors, which also connected to the boxes, there were specialized titles, so I just did a quick tour because there was nothing I was interested in.

En el sótano, estaba la zona kids y además, mucha música, tanto en CDs como en vinilos. Lamentablemente, no tengo un tocadiscos para poder comprar nada así, pero creo que ya con mi suscripción a Spotify, es suficiente por un tiempo. En los dos pisos superiores, que, además, conectaba con los palcos, había títulos especializados, así que solo hice un recorrido rápido porque no había nada que me interesara.

At the back of the place, specifically where the stage was located and backstage, we had a very nice coffe shop with many original elements such as the curtain risers, the light switches and the original stage machinery. I also made some videos that I hope to show you someday where I show the ENTIRE site, including all of the above.

Al fondo del lugar, específicamente en donde estuviera ubicado el escenario y tras bastidores, teníamos un café muy bonito con muchos elementos originales como los elevadores del telón, los interruptores de las luces y la tramoya original. También hice algunos videos que espero mostrarles algún día en dónde muestro TODO el sitio, incluyendo todo esto que les detallo.

It was not the only bookstore I went into. I filled up with books, but I did not buy any, although they are not as expensive as here in Venezuela. I did not know how much the suitcase was going to weigh, and honestly, it is still cheaper to buy books through Kindle than to have them in physical form. Until I know what destiny life has in store for me, I'm not going to commit to filling a bookcase with my favorite titles.

No fue la única librería a la que entré, me llené de libros, pero no compré ninguno, aunque no son tan costosos como acá en Venezuela, no sabía que tanto iba a pesar la maleta, y sinceramente, sigue siendo más económico comprar los libros a través de Kindle que tenerlos en físico. Hasta que no sepa que destino me depara la vida, no voy a comprometerme a llenar un librero con mis títulos favoritos.

Hola amiga, qué hermoso que hayas podido pasear por aquí también, es un lugar hermoso, en lo personal me encanta esta librería, para ir de paseo, tomar un café, sacar algunas fotos y descubrir nuevos títulos, pero también soy fan de las librerías a la calle que tienen tesoros escondidos!
