"The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries." - René Descartes
The explicit momentum of travelling through time without even moving a foot. Reading has magic in disguise. That's one of the reasons why I love reading, and the same thing goes for why I believe in magic. They're somehow connected for me; it's like two things in my life that are constantly perpendicular to each other.

📚Imitation is Limitation by John Mason
Grab all the positive adjectives there are, ‘cause this book is definitely a game changer! My father gave me this book, and this one’s very comforting and inspiring. I would remember myself reading this book for just four days! It even drives my inner core to do all the work and everyday goals I have on my list. Not just that, it really changed my perception of some things; it shaped me in so many ways. The way I perceive myself, how I knew I had myself, and how I can change everything just by knowing my true self—no one else will become me.
All about the book: The author really provides factual research and even experiences from the greatest people ever recognised in this world. Also, inside the book, you get to know more than just one author; you’ll get to know many more! Different authors remarks are also shared in the book, as is how they support the idea or message conveyed to the readers. It is well-written and well-versed.
This book might be able to change you and how you work in your life. You get to embrace your true self and recognise the significance of who you are.
📚Unleash Your Highest Potential by Vic and Avelynnn Garcia
I received this book when I was 8 years old. My father told me to read it and share with him the lessons I would absorb from the book he had given me. Actually, when I was a kid, I disliked giving myself time to read. I would slack off; however, my father would scold me if I didn't read. This book, as my first book, wasn't bad at all. At first, it was difficult for me to comprehend the situations or the real-life examples provided. On top of that, my father asked me what lessons I gained from reading the book. What I did at that time to answer him was to read a short excerpt from the first page sneakily and just answer him whatever. Well, for all I know, he knew I wasn't being serious, but he just told me to read it again and again.
All about the book: This book provides perceptions and insights into how our lives would be different if we just tried and sought out our talents and skills. Of course, it also tells us to give our 100 percent every time. It's all about using your full potential to completely reach happiness and significance throughout our lives.
Then this book became my favourite book. It holds the memory of both my childhood and the bond I had with my father. Every time I smell this book, I see our old house, I hear the old music, and it makes me smile. I've read this book six times now, and it still gives me the best motivation I need.
📚How to Get Rich by Donald J. Trump
Do you have plans to be rich? I think I do have such a plan since I have this book. It’s surprising that my mother gave this to me. Maybe she must have observed that I’m a business-inclined person who is interested in talking about business. I’ve read the book two times now and pretty much absorbed some lessons, even though Donald Trump is the author. ’Cause he is still a good business person, and his attitude says it all.
All about the book: The book doesn’t provide steps on how to get rich; it actually shares the things you must possess in order to have a mind for getting rich. Donald Trump shares his experiences through the years before reaching his success as a billionaire.
📚 Pursuing Purity as a Single Person
Uhmm... I bought this book because I wanted to know more about purity and how it would help me as a person.
All about the book: The book shares Catholic insights and teachings that are connected to religious endeavor. It replenishes your spiritual view towards purity in a way that the books share some experiences and funny stories that give you the idea to attain purity and apply it. Reading this book as a teenager is very informative and useful.
In this generation, malicious things are spread everywhere, and so by reading this book, I started to want purity in everything, including myself.
📚 Your Past Does Not Define Your Future by Bo Sanchez
This book was my healer. I actually went through a difficult stage in life when I bought this one. I was not at my best and felt so unsure of everything that’s going on inside my environment. I had inner turmoil and an unending chain of thoughts. Fortunately, I’ve found this book.
All about the book: The author shares his experience, and it’s really the real truth of his experiences. His flaws and deepest secrets are revealed in the book, as is how he changed his actions into better ones. The book says that the past isn’t who you are.
The book actually pushed me to forgive myself and let go of everything that’s holding me back. An inspiring and gratifying motivation healer.
📚 Thank You for Being Late by Thomas L. Friedman
My mother also bought this book for me. It talks about the economic and social revolutions that have happened since 2007. Actually, my mom bought this for me because I told her taking economics as my college course was an option. I think she was pretty supportive of it. The book is kind of thick! I didn’t have enough energy to pursue reading the book, yet slowly and gently, I flipped the pages and got interested.
All about the book: If you want to be socially aware of why or how things are happening now, this book is the start. It’s all about the tectonic movements that reshaped the world and how their impact has made the world. The book makes us realise that if we just take time to realise this, we have the time to reimagine and think thoroughly about the work of politics and community.
Would you read this book?
📚 Greatest Speeches of the Modern World
I’ve bought this book myself since I want to gain general knowledge. This book gave me excitement, knowing I would read speeches from amazing public figures. I wanted to be literate about their speeches or even memorise some lines from them.
All about the book: It is a collection of speeches from the greatest figures. This book will inspire you to be great and go beyond lengths, as you may want to change the world and make a difference. By reading this book, I gained different insights about the people around me and how to handle situations. Also, it’s very fun to know what great minds were experiencing or their personal thoughts behind their written speeches.
Those were the seven books I would totally recommend reading! Personally picked from my bookshelf, these books are just different and special in some ways. It’s not just the normal book I read for entertainment purposes; it’s for my cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual growth. I feed myself books to grow and flourish as the person I want to be.
Inspirational. All of these books have ways to convince me that I am living and that I should live for something. It inspires me to be someone who pushes through anything and makes a difference.
Motivational. We don’t have to always be motivated to be able to do things; it’s just that sometimes we need a push. These books drive my inner core to do things unexpected of me. Also, it makes my work easier by following the things I learned from the books.
Self-growth. Reading a book is like my daily meditation. It helps you gain high focus and strive for more improvement. There will be new knowledge brought inside, not just to our brains but also to our hearts. I am a better person with books. Books are part of what makes me a great person.
That’s all, everyone! Thank you for reading my blog, and let's see each other around!

I haven't read those books. It's so nice of your father that he gifted you a book that sounds like quite profound.
I totally agree that it’s profound, especially since I was still young back then. Nevertheless, reading it again and again somehow shaped me. Thank you for reading my blog @macchiata!🌸
