Despite this, I have always said that there is no way to know the original source and it is through reading the book. Written by Mery Shelley framed as a gothic novel, it was published in 1818.
Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, hoy quiero hablarles de esas historias que no importa el tiempo siguen dejando una gran lección humana, Frankenstein es una de esos libros que todos conocemos porque su historia es universal y ha sido adaptada para el cine, tv, comics. A pesar de ello siempre he dicho que no hay como conocer la fuente original y es a través de leer el libro. Escrito por Mery Shelley enmarcado como novela gótica, fue publicado en 1818.
Mery Shelley whose birth name is Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, was born in London (1797-1851), in a wealthy and intellectual family for which she received the best education of the time, after marrying the poet Percy Shelley, they spend a time with the famous writer Lord Byron, it is said that being with him, the inspiration to write the novel that made her immortal, Frankenstein, was born. This novel can be cataloged in several genres such as among the first science fiction, horror, gothic, historical and romantic novels. This complex work and in my opinion one of the best of all time where philosophical issues of man wanting to imitate God with the creation of life and its consequences are touched upon, they give us a lesson of the danger that this entails.
Mery Shelley cuyo nombre de nacimiento es Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, nace en Londres (1797-1851), en el seno de una familia acomodada e intelectual por lo cual recibió la mejor educación de la época, tras casarse con el poeta Percy Shelley, pasan un tiempo con el famoso escritor Lord Byron, se dice que estando con él, nace la inspiración para escribir la novela que la hizo inmortal, Frankenstein. Esta novela puede catalogarse en varios géneros como entre las primeras novelas de ciencia ficción, de terror, gótico, histórico y romántico. Esta obra compleja y en mi opinión una de las mejores de todos los tiempos en donde se tocan temas filosóficos del hombre queriendo imitar a Dios con la creación de la vida y sus consecuencias, nos dan una lección del peligro que esto conlleva.
Frankenstein is the story of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who is obsessed with creating life and will not stop until he succeeds, looting tombs to get human parts and create a being through the vital spark (electric current), his experiments They won't stop until they do. When he finally manages to create life, he begins to see the creature as a monster. A series of events will happen that will make the creature look like a bad being when in reality it is full of goodness. Victor in the end will try to destroy his creation, but he will not succeed and the creature to be rejected by his creator, he will swear to torment him until the last day of his life.
Frankenstein es la historia del Dr. Víctor Frankenstein, un joven científico quien se obsesiona por crear vida y no se detendrá hasta tener éxito, saqueando tumbas para conseguir partes humanas y crear un ser a través de la chispa vital (corriente eléctrica), sus experimentos no se detendrán hasta lograrlo. Cuando finalmente logra crear vida, comienza a ver a la criatura como un monstruo. Una serie de acontecimientos pasarán que harán ver a la criatura como un ser malo cuando en realidad esta lleno de bondad. Víctor al final intentará destruir su creación, pero no lo conseguirá y la criatura a ser rechazado por su creador, jurará atormentarlo hasta el último día de su vida.
Contrary to what many people think if they have only seen the movies and not read Mery's book, the creature (Frankenstein) does not have a name, Víctor never gave him one. Despite this, everyone knows her by her creator's surname Frankenstein. This novel, despite being a classic and considered by many to be the first science fiction novel for its scientific contributions, also has a lot of a romantic novel with shades of terror. You will find reading the gloomy parts with atmospheres that lead you to feel fear, a novel that although it was written when Mery was only 18 years old when writing it, they show maturity and ingenuity by combining many elements and imagination for this novel.
A diferencia de lo que muchos piensan si solo han visto las películas y no leído el libro de Mery, la criatura (Frankenstein), no tiene nombre, Víctor jamás le coloco uno. A pesar de ello todos la conocen por el apellido de su creador Frankenstein. Esta novela a pesar de ser un clásico y para muchos considerada la primera novela de ciencia ficción por sus aportes científicos, también tiene mucho de novela romántica con matices de terror. Encontraras leyéndolas partes lúgubres con atmosferas que te lleven a sentir miedo, una novela que a pesar que fue escrita cuando Mery contaba con tan solo 18 años de edad al escribirla, demuestran una madurez e ingenio al combinar muchos elementos e imaginación para esta novela.
Always out of ignorance they say that the classics are boring because they touch on themes or situations that are not reflected in current reality, but there are novels like Frankenstein's that are timeless because they touch on universal themes such as love, excessive ambition and wanting to be God. regardless of the consequences to achieve the objectives. This makes the theme never go out of style and shows us that no matter the time, years, decades or centuries, human beings have the same ambitions and make the same mistakes to achieve what seems impossible. If you haven't read this novel yet, I recommend you do, you won't regret it.
Siempre por desconocimiento se dicen que los clásicos son aburridos porque tocan temas o situaciones que no se reflejan con la realidad actual, pero hay novelas como la de Frankenstein que son atemporales porque tocan temas universales como el amor, la ambición desmedida y el querer ser Dios sin importar las consecuencias para lograr los objetivos. Esto hace que el tema jamás pase de moda y nos demuestra que no importa el tiempo, años, décadas o siglos, los seres humanos tenemos las mismas ambiciones y cometemos los mismos errores para lograr lo que parece imposible. Si no leíste aun esta novela te recomiendo que lo hagas, no te arrepentirás.

El que diga que los clásicos son aburridos es porque no les ha dedicado un poco de tiempo, tal como dices este libro es muestra de ello y es espectacular, de hecho todas las historias de la autora son súper sentidas y con una capacidad de absorberte tremenda! Es un libro excelente, recuerdo lo impresionada que estuve cuando lo leí esperando sobre todo encontrarme fantasía y horror, que es lo que te transmiten las adaptaciones al cine por ejemplo, y resulta que es una historia super pasional, que el monstruo en realidad es un ser que solo quiere aprender y ser amado, muy lindo y muy real al final de todo. i remember this part now...i forgot long ago.. Frankeinstein failed creation. I remember there was a time that he and his creation were compared to God and Adam. It was quite funny. I think it was called "The kindred" in Sleepy Hollow movie. That movie dates back to history wars.
This comparison between God and Adam was inevitable because of the religious concept of the creation of life from nothing. I'm glad you liked it and it brought back memories. Greetings
