Hola queridos amigos de #HIVEBOOKCLUB espero se encuentre bien, adentrándome en este mundo de la comunidad de #Hive me encontré con esta colmena la cual me ha llamado mucho la atención, me llamo Mersy Mundarain, soy de Venezuela y desde hace 26 años ininterrumpidos laboro en un liceo de mi país, en la etapa secundaria como bibliotecaria. La pasión por la lectura y los libros nació desde muy pequeña, en mi familia teníamos la costumbre de leer constantemente, mis hermanos y yo asistíamos a la biblioteca de nuestra ciudad Maracay, para reunirnos algunas tardes y actualizarnos en los libros que constantemente llegaban nuevos a la misma.
Fue tal el gusto, que más adelante se me presenta la oportunidad de trabajar en el área educativa, específicamente en un liceo, decido iniciarme recibiendo talleres de asistente de biblioteca, una de la primeras responsabilidades que me asignaron. Fue tanto el entusiasmo y la pasión por lo que hasta ahora realizo que me adentro a capacitarme constantemente, para escalar nuevas responsabilidades e impartir mis conocimientos en el área, a pesar de no haber estudiado la parte universitaria, mis actualizaciones educativas en el área han sido constantes, puedo decir que ya perdí la cuenta de cuantos talleres, cursos, seminarios y demás he participado para ofrecer mis servicios en lo que más me gusta.
Hello dear friends of #HIVEBOOKCLUB I hope you are well, entering this world of #Hive community I found this hive which has caught my attention, my name is Mersy Mundarain, I am from Venezuela and for 26 years uninterrupted I work in a high school in my country, in the secondary stage as a librarian. The passion for reading and books was born since I was a child, in my family we had the habit of reading constantly, my brothers and I attended the library of our city Maracay, to meet some afternoons and update us in the books that were constantly arriving new to it.
It was such a pleasure, that later I had the opportunity to work in the educational area, specifically in a high school, I decided to start receiving workshops as a library assistant, one of the first responsibilities assigned to me. It was so much enthusiasm and passion for what I do so far that I went into constant training, to climb new responsibilities and impart my knowledge in the area, despite not having studied the university part, my educational updates in the area have been constant, I can say that I already lost count of how many workshops, courses, seminars and others I have participated to offer my services in what I like the most.
No ha sido fácil durante tanto años, pero como pueden apreciar en las imágenes tengo mi ambiente de trabajo organizado, donde ejerzo lo que más me apasiona, inculco a mis estudiantes el amor y hábito por la lectura, tengo un club de lectura con alrededor de 59 niños y jóvenes en edades comprendidas de 11 a 17 años, de varios años de bachillerato, los cuales los recibo varias veces a la semana, como actividad extraacadémica dentro de su pensum de estudio, les hablo sobre la importancia de la biblioteca como centro de saberes, la labor del bibliotecario y por su puesto las ventajas de la lectura no solo a nivel académico, sino también a nivel de su desarrollo personal.
Los agrupo para realizar actividades, incluyéndolos a participar activamente. Trato de reforzar con ayuda del docente de la materia de castellano, las debilidades en lectura, los apoyo en las investigaciones integrando al estudiante a no solo realizar las tareas sino valorar el contenido de muchos libros los cuales algunas veces por distracción o por no interesarse ignoran. Yo personalmente en mi labor invito a mis muchachos a disfrutar la lectura, a analizar a su criterio personal cada fragmento que digieren, a analizar el contenido de lo que leen para saberlo interpretar y lo más importante que les quede y aporte a su futuro.
It has not been easy for so many years, but as you can see in the pictures I have my work environment organized, where I exercise what I am most passionate about, I instill in my students the love and habit of reading, I have a reading club with about 59 children and young people aged 11 to 17 years, from several years of high school, I receive them several times a week, as an extracurricular activity within their curriculum, I talk to them about the importance of the library as a center of knowledge, the work of the librarian and of course the advantages of reading not only at the academic level, but also at the level of their personal development.
I group them together to carry out activities, including them to actively participate. I try to reinforce with the help of the teacher of the Spanish subject, the weaknesses in reading, I support them in the investigations integrating the student to not only perform the tasks but to value the content of many books which sometimes by distraction or by not being interested they ignore. Personally, in my work I invite my students to enjoy reading, to analyze each fragment they digest according to their personal criteria, to analyze the content of what they read in order to know how to interpret it and the most important thing is that it remains with them and contributes to their future.
Ya no se la cantidad de estudiantes que he recibido en mi ambiente de trabajo, pero me encanta incluir a mis estudiantes y que todos y cada uno pasen por la biblioteca, e incluso a los docentes y representantes involucrándolos en diversas actividades como escuela para padres, club de ajedrez y otros. Para así también incluirlos en este mundo apasionante. La lectura para mi es lo más satisfactorio, lo aplico en mi trabajo y en mi familia, a mis hijas les encanta y me siento orgullosa de hacer mi labores y luego ver los resultados que he obtenido hasta ahora.
I don't know how many students I have received in my work environment, but I love to include my students and have each and every one go through the library, and even the teachers and representatives by involving them in various activities such as school for parents, chess club and others. In order to include them in this exciting world. Reading for me is the most satisfying thing, I apply it in my work and in my family, my daughters love it and I feel proud to do my work and then see the results I have obtained so far.
Amo lo que hago, me gusta trabajar en esta área, creo que si volvería a nacer, elegiría esta profesión. Me gusta impartir lo que aprendo constantemente, me gusta trabajar con mis jovenes e incentivarlos al valor de la lectura y sus frutos. Actualmente a pesar de estar en la era de la tecnología, no dejo que olviden el valor de la lección. Espero que les guste y también pongan en práctica e inculquen este hábito a los más pequeños de la casa. Recuerden los tiempos pasan pero la enseñanza queda.
I love what I do, I like working in this area, I think that if I would be born again, I would choose this profession. I like to impart what I learn constantly, I like to work with my young people and encourage them to the value of reading and its fruits. Currently, despite being in the age of technology, I do not let them forget the value of the lesson. I hope you like it and also put into practice and inculcate this habit to the little ones at home. Remember, times go by but the lesson remains.

Me encanta ver gente que le apasiona lo que hace, leer es uno de los hábitos más satisfactorios que he tenido y de igual manera he tratado de inculcarles a mis hijos.
Empecé este año un club de lectura con mis estudiantes de 3er grado y estaban muy emocionados, espero continuar con esta actividad el próximo año.
No dejemos que este habito decaiga, ya tengo 26 años de servicio y se los he dedicado a mi biblioteca y en especial a mi club de lectura. Me encanta motivar a mis chamos y enseñarles lo maravilloso de la misma. Esa es mi mayor satisfacción.
Sigue con tu club de lectura compañera, anima a esos niños a entusiasmarse con lo que hacen y sobre todo valorar el contenido de lo que se lee.
