Saludos a la comunidad de lectores, es un gusto estar aquí después de tantos días. Para retomar las reseñas he decidido traer por estas semanas algunos libros de adultos jóvenes que he leído últimamente.
En esta ocasión se trata de Los juegos del hambre, un libro que no había pensado leer aún con la popularidad que tuvieron sus películas. Sin embargo, me llamó la atención por la diferencia con las mismas que debatía un usuario de tiktok. Ya saben, la curiosidad pudo más. 🤷

Greetings to the reading community, it's a pleasure to be here after so many days. To resume the reviews I have decided to bring for these weeks some young adult books that I have read lately.
This time it is about The Hunger Games, a book that I had not thought of reading yet with the popularity of its movies. However, it caught my attention because of the difference with the same ones discussed by a tiktok user. You know, curiosity got the better of me. 🤷
Without further ado, let's get to the book ❣️
Los juegos del hambre 🔥 The hunger games
Este es el primer libro de una saga ambientada en Panem, un lugar que surgió de Norteamérica. Los otros que le siguen son: En llamas y Sinsajo, con lo que terminaría la trilogía.
Fueron escritos por Suzanne Collins, una estadounidense creadora, además, de la saga llamada Gregor.
A pesar de que Los juegos del hambre siguen reglas diferentes a las de nuestro mundo como lo conocemos, es un libro fácil de asimilar por su lenguaje sencillo y porque te lo van presentado de a poco, lo justo para no confundirte.
Está narrado en primera persona, siendo la perspectiva de Katniss Evergardeen la que nos introduce en esta maravillosa trilogía.
Comparado con el último libro, Los juegos del hambre es corto y rápido de acabar. A mí tan solo me llevó un día, porque no tenía otra cosa mejor que hacer y porque es muy entretenido.
Después de acabarlo no dudé en que iba a proseguir con los demás.
This is the first book in a saga set in Panem, a place that grew out of North America. The others to follow are: In Flames and Mockingjay, with which the trilogy would end.
They were written by Suzanne Collins, an American who also created the Gregor saga.
Although The Hunger Games follows different rules from those of our world as we know it, it is a book that is easy to assimilate because of its simple language and because it is presented to you a little at a time, just enough so as not to confuse you.
It is narrated in first person, with Katniss Evergardeen's perspective being the one that introduces us to this wonderful trilogy.
Compared to the last book, The Hunger Games is short and quick to finish. It only took me a day, because I had nothing better to do and because it is very entertaining.
After finishing it, I had no doubt that I would continue with the others.
De qué trata 🔥 What it is about
Cómo consecuencia del alzamiento de los trece distritos que rodea el Capitolio, en Panem se celebra puntualmente unos juegos televisados que empezaron hace 75 años atrás.
Un espectáculo que sirve para reafirmar el poder que tiene el Capitolio sobre los distritos y que aterroriza y humilla a todos, porque en este juego te ves obligado a matar a los otros concursantes para sobrevivir.
El último en quedar vivo es el ganador. Todo esto mientras te enfrentas en una arena de difícil condiciones, no solo por el clima inesperado y por el tener que buscar tu propia comida, sino porque existen obstáculos creados por el Capitolio y dirigidos por los 'Vigilantes' que podrían quitarte la vida.
Katniss Evergardeen acaba siendo tributo en estos Juegos del Hambre, una chica del sector 12 que lleva aparentemente una vida "estable" como cazadora ilegal.
Después de ser elegida debe prepararse para ir a la Arena y sobrevivir. ¿Logrará conseguirlo?

Mi opinión 🔥 My opinion
Según mi percepción este libro está escrito de forma pulcra, y no me refiero solo al uso del lenguaje al momento de relatarnos la historia sino a las ideas y las conexiones entre sí.
Pese a ser un mundo de ficción no cuesta imaginarse en él, está construido sobre una base coherente y creíble. Sí noté ciertos detalles y no evité preguntarme por qué fueron elegidos precisamente esos, si había más opciones, pero aún así siempre encontré el modo de justificarlos y es lo importante.
Esta historia es cruda, en ella abunda las vidas difíciles y llenas de escasez de los habitantes de los distritos, donde todo, pese a ser una opresión por parte del Capitolio es lo considerado ya "normal", por lo que es común que los niños ni siquiera tengan infancia y los adolescentes sean capaces de matar para sobrevivir, porque esto es lo que hacen las familias en los distritos, sobrevivir.
No es difícil seguir la historia porque está narrada de un modo sencillo, lo que ayuda a digerir bien los escenarios, procesar la información y meterte en la trama. Te sueltan la información en su justa medida, lo suficiente para no confundirte y a la vez, para interesarte por más y más.
A mi parecer es esta presentación del mundo lo que nos engancha para continuar leyendo, lo que nos llena de curiosidad para saber cómo funciona todo y cómo acabarán nuestros protagonistas y sus allegados.
Cuando ya te acostumbras a los protagonistas es normal sentir la tensión que ellos sienten, y el miedo por su porvenir, ya que a medida que avanza la historia crece el miedo a perderlos, debido a que están a merced de un presidente despiadado que no le importa jugar con la vida de las personas.
No solo llegamos a sentir miedo, sino que es posible identificarse con otros sentimientos que tienen los personajes, como la impotencia, la frustración e incluso el odio. Viven una vida tan difícil e injusta que es fácil molestarse.
Con respecto a Katniss me pareció una protagonista digamos que neutral. Me simpatizó pero no siempre llegué a comprenderla, nos mostraba bastante del mundo exterior y de los otros personajes pero a veces sentí que muy poco de sí misma.
Para mí esto significó una desventaja y a la vez una ventaja. Lo negativo sería no conectarte emocionalmente con ella, aunque es comprensible que a veces ni siquiera ella se conozca o sepa lo que siente, y por otro lado la ventaja es que vas armando como un rompecabezas.
Un rompecabezas en el que te guías por los diálogos y pensamientos de los otros personajes, por lo que No se dice (que eso también dice), y por las acciones que se hacen y las que no. Para mí es entretenido intentar armar estas piezas y dotarlas de una explicación lógica, dónde los sentimientos y las emociones influyen.
A su vez, que sea Katniss la que nos narra la historia hace que nos perdamos cosas que no podemos ver desde su escasa perspectiva, así que es normal que ciertas cosas la tomen por sorpresa porque ni siquiera ella se entera, lo que genera cambios en su humor y pensamientos que a veces resultan inesperados.
A medida que avanza la trama surgen cuestiones morales que te ponen entre la espada y la pared, que te hacen imaginarte en esa situación y es por ello que te sientes más cercano a los personajes, dispuesto a comprender sus motivos y decisiones, seas cuáles sean.
De igual modo, en este libro podemos ver que la muerte no es un destino tan terrible en este mundo, ya que hay tantas dificultades que afrontar que incluso muchos han perdido la cordura o la humanidad.
De la misma manera la muerte no parece un destino tan terrible si te enfrentas al dilema de matar. Ya que hacerlo también tiene sus consecuencias y como nos muestran los protagonistas es algo que no te deja ileso, aunque sobrevivas.
Sea cual sea la situación, lo que está en juego no es solo la vida de los personajes, sino la cordura y como ya dije, la humanidad. Estos juegos del hambre son más que un desafío de supervivencia, es un desafío a la mente y las emociones.
Este libro es como una historia de pesadillas que se vuelven realidad, donde siempre puede pasar algo peor de lo que esperabas, dónde podemos ver lo peor del ser humano e irónicamente, también lo mejor.
A pesar de ser un mundo de ficción y una historia para entretener, tiene su parte reflexiva. Es emocionante, te llena de intriga y te mantiene a la expectativa.
Me gustó lo suficiente para continuar con los otros libros y acabarlos, así que pronto estaré escribiendo las otras reseñas y publicandolas por acá.
Después de esto solo me queda ver las películas, para comparar y para ver cómo recrearon y ambientaron ciertas cosas de esta historia.

According to my perception this book is written in a neat way, and I am not only referring to the use of language at the moment of telling the story, but also to the ideas and the connections between them.
Despite being a fictional world, it is not hard to imagine yourself in it, it is built on a coherent and credible basis. I did notice certain details and I did not avoid wondering why they were chosen precisely those, if there were more options, but even so I always found a way to justify them and that is the important thing.
This story is raw, it abounds in the difficult lives and full of scarcity of the inhabitants of the districts, where everything, despite being an oppression by the Capitol is already considered "normal", so it is common that children do not even have childhood and teenagers are able to kill to survive, because this is what families do in the districts, survive.
It is not difficult to follow the story because it is narrated in a simple way, which helps you to digest the scenarios, process the information and get into the plot. The information is given in just the right amount, just enough to not confuse you and at the same time, to get you interested in more and more.
In my opinion, it is this presentation of the world what hooks us to continue reading, what fills us with curiosity to know how everything works and how our protagonists and their relatives will end up.
When you get used to the main characters, it is normal to feel the tension they feel, and the fear for their future, because as the story progresses, the fear of losing them grows, due to the fact that they are at the mercy of a ruthless president who does not mind playing with people's lives.
Not only do we get to feel fear, but it is possible to identify with other feelings that the characters have, such as helplessness, frustration and even hatred. They live such a difficult and unfair life that it is easy to get upset.
With respect to Katniss, I found her to be a somewhat neutral protagonist. I sympathized with her but I didn't always get to understand her, she showed us quite a lot of the outside world and the other characters but sometimes I felt that very little of herself.
For me this was both a disadvantage and an advantage. The negative would be not connecting emotionally with her, although it is understandable that sometimes she doesn't even know herself or what she feels, and on the other hand the advantage is that you are putting together a puzzle.
A puzzle in which you are guided by the dialogues and thoughts of the other characters, by what is not said (which is also said), and by the actions that are done and not done. For me it is entertaining to try to put these pieces together and give them a logical explanation, where feelings and emotions play a role.
At the same time, the fact that Katniss is the one who narrates the story makes us miss things that we cannot see from her limited perspective, so it is normal that certain things take her by surprise because even she does not know about them, which generates changes in her mood and thoughts that are sometimes unexpected.
As the plot progresses, moral questions arise that put you between a rock and a hard place, that make you imagine yourself in that situation and that is why you feel closer to the characters, willing to understand their motives and decisions, whatever they may be.
Similarly, in this book we can see that death is not such a terrible fate in this world, as there are so many difficulties to face that even many have lost their sanity or humanity.
In the same way death does not seem such a terrible fate if you face the dilemma of killing. Since doing so also has its consequences and as the protagonists show us is something that does not leave you unscathed, even if you survive.
Whatever the situation, what is at stake is not only the lives of the characters, but sanity and as I said, humanity. These hunger games are more than a survival challenge, it is a challenge to the mind and emotions.
This book is like a story of nightmares that come true, where something worse than you expected can always happen, where we can see the worst of the human being and ironically, also the best.
Despite being a fictional world and a story to entertain, it has its reflective side. It is exciting, fills you with intrigue and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I liked it enough to continue with the other books and finish them, so I'll be writing the other reviews soon and posting them here.
After this I just have to watch the movies, to compare and to see how they recreated and set certain things in this story.

Qué bonito ver algo de este libro por acá, creo que fue la primera trilogía que leí de adolescente, estaba encantada con estos libros, justo ahora mi recuerdo es bastante lejano, nunca supe por qué, pero la primera parte del libro, al comenzar, que dice 'Cuando me despierto, el otro lado de la cama está frio' nunca se me olvidó eso, y para la edad a la que lo leí (13 años) esa frase sin mucho sentido se me quedó muy grabada, ni idea de por qué haha.
Sin duda es un libro muy lindo que vale la pena leer.♥️

Esta es una de mis trilogías favoritas desde que la leí cuando tenía 13 y lo sigue siendo hoy día que tengo 22. Te adelanto que las películas son buenísimas, su adaptación es una de las mejores que vas a ver en cuanto a libro-película se trata, deja muy pocos detalles por fuera, a mi me encantan y eso que soy bastante crítica cuando veo alguna adaptación de un libro que ya he leído.
