From what I've read it doesn't promote racism at all, most of the short stories talk about relationships surrounding Lagos(a state in Nigeria), there is a story about a girl wanting a caucasian boyfriend but it isn't racist in my opinion.

I see, just wondering why iska mentioned there's racism here. But yeah, sexism seems to be more of the theme in that story.
