Hello everyone. It's me your girl Jenny. How are you guys? Hope you had a great day. Two days ago, I just ended my mini-series of "Reading a Book Everyday for 7 Days" here in Hive. I also mentioned in there to blog about the challenge yesterday however I forgot that I cancelled the scheduled post so I will just do it today to finally seal the challenge so without a further ado, dive in and I'll show you.
In social media, there are a lot of book related challenges like Book Month Drop, Reading Habits Challenge and alike. A good friend of mine posted a Fb story on the book she just finished reading and at the back of my mind I was like, "Wouldn't it be nice to finish all the books I own?". But of course, I did not read those books instead I searched in google and watch Tiktok videos to look for recommendation. The moment I finished reading "The Song of Achilles", I posted a sort of meme in Facebook and then another friend of mine commented that she's going to add it in her TBR list. We then message each other privately and she recommended a book entitled "November 9" by Colleen Hoover. I check her other books and a couple of weeks after I decided to start reading a book of her.
The name of the challenge is self explanatory, it's just the literal meaning. You simply have to read a book every single day for a week. It may sound too much but trust me it is possible as long as it isn't that long. I feel like it won't work if you'll pick Anna Karenina because boy it would be a marathon. Maybe, it still depends because some folks can finish 1000 pages in just one sitting, clearly not me and how I wish my reading retention is that long (haiyah). You know what they say? If you find it difficult to finish the book, maybe you haven't find the right book for you. I do miss feeling butterflies in my stomach while reading a novel similar to those moments when I am still a teenager which is why I picked a contemporary romance genre.
The moment I'm done with the first book, Confess by Colleen Hoover I then immediately read another one. She is just so addictive. Her writing style is so catchy and very understandable specially for me who isn't a native English speaker. I am so satisfied that I picked all her books for this challenge. It made me realize who she is as a writer. The seven books are Confess, November 9, Layla, Verity, It Ends With Us, Without Merit and Ugly Love. To be honest, I binged read all of these last year and I decided to share my experience and thoughts here. I re-read Layla and Verity on 3rd and 4th day respectively during this challenge because I love them, I got few time since its holy week and lastly, I am really in the mood for paranormal romantic and psychological thriller novels. I also posted each book individually in my blog so you can check it out.

I initially plan to post my reading experience on a specific time however, I had a hard time in doing so specially when I decided to re- read the books before writing the content of my post. So, I suggest to finish all the books first before crafting your book review but if you are confident enough to juggle both then why not, right? Also, try to pick a not-so-long story probably less than 1000 pages but if you are a fast reader then I guess this challenge is still possible for you. At the end of the day, you do you. What works for you, works you and what work for me, works for me. Fighting.
I have been in a hiatus from not posting on hive and I think this mini- series have been a great kickstart to get back on tract. I am not promising anything here specially on being active by posting everyday. I don't think I could keep up with that kind of routine, I am built too lazy for that.
If there are things that I realize from this is first, I finally did it by finishing all of the books even having a short reading retention. Second, it honestly made me so happy when there are people who commented on my post like recommending, complementing or saying their thoughts about my content. Lastly, it still blows my mind that those people who kept in supporting me before are still doing it today. I am the most inconsistent person which is why I no longer expect consistency from others but you guys amazed me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support. See you on another edition of Reading A Book Everyday For 7 Days Challenge. Paalam, book lovers!

I myself is also a slow reader. I alloted around 8-10 hrs for each book sometimes I finished it faster or slower than I expected depending on how long the story.
Oh, that's good! Makes me feel a lot better haha. Thanks again!
It is really inspiring and hope it kickstart more people to start reading and also sharing their journey!
Yeah, I do hope the same thing. It was an amazing experience.

I have always considered myself a fast reader, but reading a book a day I think it would be very difficult for me with all my daily occupations hahaha. But I congratulate you for achieving the goal of this challenge, as I told you once, Hoollen Coover is a great writer, I hope to continue reading her novels.
Coincidentally, I had a lot of free time within these days which is why it was possible. I am also planning to read other CoHo's books especially her series but I feel like it is such a committment. Hahaha
This is a great idea. I started reading again some weeks ago. Only I take breaks between each book coz I tend to binge and have sleepless nights until it is finished. Goodluck!
I also take a break sometimes while reading these books. More likely, I started around noon or afternoon and it would be a sleepless night specially whenever I wanted to proceed to another book. I feel like this is the reason of my dark circles hahaha
Hahaha... I am afraid of the dark circles and spending the day feeling like a zombie.
