The author explores the theme of corruption and abuse of power, the role of women in the society, and the impact of colonialism. Chinua Scheme made good use of dialogue. The play follows a chronological arrangement, making readers glued to it. Also, the author did a very good job with the character development. For me, this book gets 5 out of six stars.

It's addictive from the first page it hooks you, I particularly fell in love 🥰 with this couple, since their first meeting so destiny, together with that map and that shared cup of coffee.I thank the writer for her subtlety to write this pink love story, the way she describes the feelings of the main characters make it too special 🥲it gives you that infinite desire of not wanting to give up to what shall they read...

https://peakd.com/hive-180164/@namiks/knight-terrors-the-joker-review-the-horrors-of-office-worklife

What stood out in the Joker story, was how his character's greatest fear was incredibly simple: he feared the loss of Batman. Joker's entire existence now thrives on the endless drama between the two, and without it, his life is reduced to a meaningless, shallow life which he considers similar to others. Have a job, climb the corporate ladder, fit in, and tell the odd joke to the co-workers. Despite him climbing the corporate ladder, little had changed about his character. He'd openly discuss his crimes to which everyone considered it water cooler and office humour. To no surprise, much of the story was focused more on the idea of comedy, and Joker's eventual boredom with life as things were going too well for him. This was quite different to the prior stories in which the stories were focused more on horror elements and gore. These events take place in dreams, of course, and an entity thrives on keeping these characters locked down in efforts to find a particular item that grants a higher power that could allow them to essentially take over reality, taking the horrors of nightmares out of dreams and into the real world. What I liked here was that Joker didn't know he was dreaming. Whereas the other characters figured it out pretty quickly.

I can say that A Walk to Remember was my favorite novel to read. I enjoyed the process of capturing the voice of a smart-alecky 17-year-old kid. Likewise with Jamie Sullivan. There was something intrinsically sweet about her character that gradually seemed to take over the book. It was also the only novel that made me cry while reading. A Walk to Remember was the only book that I'll adore most. In many ways, Jamie Sullivan represent one of my juniors from school. Like Jamie, my junior was sweet. Like Jamie, my junior had tremendously strong faith. Like Jamie, my junior loved her god. Like Jamie, my junior wasn’t popular at school. Like Jamie, my junior was always cheerful. Like Jamie, all my junior wanted in life was to get married. And like Jamie, my junior got cancer...

What is Hive Book Club?

Hive Book Club is a community made by book lovers, for book lovers. A place where the chaotic minds of writers may punch away words from their keyboards as they share their writing adventures. Where passionate book collectors may rummage through their stacks of books to share and review their latest additions. Outside of our regular curation process, we may create contests for our community to participate in, and earn even more from their posts. If you have a certain theme for a future contest you would like to see, let us know! Be sure to check with us frequently on our various social media platforms to avoid missing out!

How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

For those of you curious as to how you may have been chosen or would like to be chosen in the future in one of these compilations: we scan through the community and read the many posts that the community members write. We then select four or five posts that we believe meet certain criteria and are worthy of sharing with the rest of the community. We aim to keep these selections diverse in style, from writing skills or subject matter.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually handpick the posts. Some factors include the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort. If we choose you, or you happen to stumble across these highlights, please do check out the other posts we feature, and contribute to their curation and engagement!
