"Just because we didn’t end up on the same wave, doesn’t mean we aren’t still a part of the same ocean." — Colleen Hoover
Hello everyone! Another free day, another blog— it's me again, haruki.tls123, back with a new post. You all know how much I love reading, right? HAHAHAHAHA! Well, reading has been more than just a hobby for me. It's been a big part of my journey into writing. I've even won some writing contests, all thanks to the inspiration I've gained from diving into books and learning to craft my own stories. So today, I'm really excited to share my thoughts with you about a book titld 'It Ends With Us' by Colleen Hoover since all of my classmates are borrowing this book of mine so I thought why not give this book a review even though that I've finished this a long time ago.
In "It End With Us,' Colleen Hoover takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions of storytelling. The book is filled with relatable characters that you can't help but root for, and it's packed with unexpected twists and turns that keep you turning the pages. Whether you're a fan of romance, drama, or just love a good story that tugs at your heartstrings, this is one of the story that maybe you can't just get over with:>
You know that I enjoy collecting books, right? Well, recently I came across a book titled 'It Ends With Us.' It wasn't a planned purchase; someone just casually recommended it to me, saying I should give it a read. So, without much thought, I bought it at a reasonable price. Little did I know that this book would captivate me so much. 'It Ends With Us' isn't the first book I've read completely blind, without reading a blurb or any reviews beforehand. I actually do this quite often. There's something thrilling and fun about diving into a book without any prior knowledge, without forming any preconceived theories or expectations. It's like embarking on an adventure where every page holds a surprise. Sometimes it's a gamble that doesn't quite pay off, but most of the time, it's incredibly enthralling.
Characters:
Lily — Lily is a courageous and daring individual, and her strong personality captivates me. Her presence is impossible to overlook. She is clear about what she wants in relationships: she's not interested in casual flings but seeks commitment. In her early twenties, she is a beautiful woman with aspirations of launching her own business. Her desire is for a calm and uncomplicated life.
Atlas — he is a character unlike any I've encountered before. His purity and greatness shine through in the way he communicates, loves, and remains steadfast. His story is both inspiring and touching. Right from the beginning of the narrative, he displays the same level of bravery as Lily. While Lily often steals the spotlight, I believe that Atlas deserves recognition from readers as well, given how exceptional a character he is.
Ryle — Ryle is a charismatic and physically fit individual, excelling in his career as a neurosurgeon with a strong ambition to be the best. He has a firm stance against falling in love and prefers casual encounters. However, Lily's presence lingers in his thoughts, and he desires something more from her, despite his initial intentions. What sets Ryle apart is his unpredictability, adding an intriguing and somewhat suspicious element to his character.
Allysa - Allysa is like having an armor, a sword, a pillar, and a comfortable pillow all in one. As Lily's best friend, she remains a constant support through thick and thin, always kind and helpful until the very end of the story. She's the type of person you want by your side, especially when things get tough. Her character truly shines after a significant revelation about Lily, showcasing her loyalty and true friendship. The way Allysa responds to the disclosure cements her as a wonderful and genuine friend.
Marshall — Marshall is Allysa's husband in the story, and he's really funny. He always makes jokes, even when things are serious. His humor brings laughter, which is nice to have in the story even though that he's not playing an essential part of it:>
Mother Of Lily — Lily's mother plays a significant role in her life, often underestimated by Lily and myself. She influences Lily's decisions and proves to be a strong woman during crucial moments.
Synopsis:
"It Ends with Us" is a challenging story to summarize because of its unpredictable twists and turns so basically I will just summarize it based on what I've remembered....It follows Lily, a young woman embarking on life after college, who meets Ryle, a successful doctor. Their budding romance faces complications when Lily's first love, Atlas, reenters her life, making it hard to choose between past and present loves. The story delves into Lily's inner confusion as she navigates her feelings for both Ryle and Atlas, grappling with difficult decisions about love and loyalty.
Narration and Writing:
The narrative in "It Ends With Us" is incredibly genuine and impactful 😭!!! Colleen Hoover's writing flows smoothly throughout the entire book, making it a pleasure to read. She is truly a talented writer, skillfully weaving together a romantic and emotional story while conveying a powerful message and creating realistic characters. I particularly love how each character's quotes and expressions are so relatable and add depth to the story.

My Review
I won't prolong this any further so let's go to my review...
"It Ends With Us" holds a special place in my heart as a truly remarkable treasure in the literary world. Delving into this book without any prior knowledge was an enthralling experience, allowing me to discover its depth and intricacies with each turn of the page. Colleen Hoover's narration in the book is both real and effective, drawing me in with its buttery-smooth language that made reading a delight from start to finish.
The characters in "It Ends With Us" are like old friends, each with their unique traits and roles that added layers of richness to the story. From Lily's bravery and determination to Ryle's charm and complexity, and even the unexpected humor brought by characters like Marshall, every interaction felt authentic and relatable. Allysa's steadfast friendship and Lily's mother's surprising strength further added depth to the narrative, making the story feel alive and emotionally resonant. What truly sets "It Ends With Us" apart is its unflinching exploration of sensitive topics like abuse and love. Colleen Hoover's masterful storytelling not only entertains but also prompts deep reflection on these themes, challenging societal norms and encouraging readers to reevaluate their perspectives. This book is a powerful reminder that love should never come at the cost of one's well-being, making it a must-read for anyone seeking a thought-provoking and impactful literary journey 👌🏻👌🏻.
So yeah, It Ends With Us is a book that I recommend. It delves into deeply personal themes that resonate with many readers, touching on issues that are all too common in real life. My own personal experiences made this book to emotional to read, evoking tears and heartfelt emotions. However, I must note that this book contains mature content and is recommended for readers aged 18 and above. Proceed with caution, especially during certain scenes that may be sensitive or intense^^.
Before I end this, I'd like to share a quote from "It Ends With Us":
"Just because someone hurts you doesn't mean you can simply stop loving them. It's not a person's actions that hurt the most. It's the love. If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear."
As I wrap up this blog, I'll announce that my next review will be about the sequel of this story...
Yes the book "It Ends Of Us" has a sequel which is titled "It Starts With Us."
Stay tuned for it!^^
