¡Hola comunidad de lectores! El día de hoy, como se acerca el 14 de febrero, decidí traerles 6 recomendaciones de libros románticos autoconclusivos para todos los gustos. Me costó elegir 6 de todos los que se me iban ocurriendo, pero trate de que sea algo variado dentro de lo que suelo leer.

La selección la hice sobre libros que ya leí y por eso me encuentro en la posición de recomendarlos. Espero que alguno les resulte interesante como para que se animen a leerlo.

También les quiero aclarar que estas recomendaciones no tienen un orden en particular, es aleatorio. Es decir, no es un top six ni mucho menos.

Hello community of readers! Today, as February 14 is approaching, I decided to bring you 6 recommendations of romantic self-conclusive books for all tastes. I had a hard time choosing 6 out of all the ones I could think of, but I tried to make it something varied within what I usually read.

The selection was made on books that I have already read and that is why I am in the position to recommend them. I hope you find some of them interesting enough to encourage you to read them.

I also want to clarify that these recommendations do not have a particular order, it is random. That is, it is not a top six, far from it.

Tal vez mañana de Colleen Hoover

Ustedes no lo saben, pero me costó mucho decidirme por un libro de Colleen porque es una de mis autoras internacionales favoritas, tiene una manera de escribir muy cautivadora, y no quería poner 2 o más libros de ella porque no sería justo. Colleen tiene una selección de libros para todos los gustos, pero entre los románticos que tiene, Tal vez mañana es uno de los que más me gusta.

Sinopsis
A los veintidós años, Sydney lo tiene todo: el novio perfecto, un futuro brillante y un bonito apartamento que comparte con su mejor amiga. Pero todo cambia el día en que Ridge, su misterioso y atractivo vecino músico, le advierte que su novio la engaña con su mejor amiga y Sydney debe decidir qué hacer con su vida. Sólo con lo puesto y sin recursos, Ridge la acoge en su casa y no deja de sorprenderla. Sydney vibra cuando él toca sus hermosas melodías y, aunque el corazón de Ridge está ocupado, él no puede ignorar que ha encontrado a su musa. Cuando finalmente se den cuenta de que se necesitan, entenderán que los sentimientos no pueden traicionar al corazón.

Mi opinión
Tal vez mañana fue el segundo libro que leí de esta autora. Me encantó desde el primer instante.

En esta historia conocemos a Sydney, una joven de 22 años que parece tener la vida perfecta. Pero no todo lo que brilla es oro, y un día se da cuenta de que todo se puede derrumbar de la noche a la mañana. Así que tiene que volver a empezar de cero a tratar de reconstruir su vida.

Y del otro lado tenemos a Ridge, un joven músico que es sordomudo, pero eso no le impide componer canciones y amar la música, poder entenderla y hacer lo que hace. Pero no estaría teniendo una buena racha de inspiración y, como todo artista, a lo mejor necesita una musa. Ahí estaría entrando Sydney en su vida.
Así los caminos de estos dos se van a conectar.

Me gusta la combinación de la música con la historia, le aporta un toque especial y es algo que hace destacar a este libro por sobre los demás de la autora o de otros libros que haya leído. Las canciones que se compusieron para esta historia son de verdad, cantadas y co-escritas por Griffin Peterson, un artista salido de American Idol. Esto hace que podamos conectar más fácilmente con los sentimientos de los personajes en dichos momentos. Pueden encontrar el soundtrack en todas las plataformas digitales para poder acompañar la lectura. Recomiendo un montón.

La historia de amor como tal, quizá no les guste mucho si son de los que odian los triángulos amorosos, porque sí, lamento informarles que tiene un triángulo amoroso. Y es bastante difícil de digerir al principio, porque lees culpa de parte de los personajes, frustración, dolor. Te hace dudar mucho, de lo que está bien y lo que está mal. Digamos que al menos yo la pasé bastante mal a medida que los sentimientos de los personajes empezaban a salir a la luz porque no veía cómo podría resolverse todo este problema.

Aunque como toda historia romántica se suele resolver al final. Pero, ¿cuál será el costo?
Para saberlo lo tienen que leer.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

You don't know it, but I had a hard time deciding on a book by Colleen because she is one of my favorite international authors, she has a very captivating way of writing, and I didn't want to put 2 or more books by her because it wouldn't be fair. Colleen has a selection of books for all tastes, but among the romantic ones she has, Maybe Someday is one of the ones I like the most.

Synopsis
At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

My opinion.
Maybe Someday was the second book I read by this author. I loved it from the first moment.

In this story we meet Sydney, a 22-year-old who seems to have the perfect life. But not all that glitters is gold, and one day she realizes that everything can fall apart overnight. So she has to start over from scratch to try to rebuild her life.

And on the other side we have Ridge, a young musician who is deaf and mute, but that doesn't stop him from composing songs and loving music, being able to understand it and do what he does. But he's not having a good run of inspiration and, like any artist, maybe he needs a muse. That's where Sydney would be coming into his life.
So the paths of these two are going to connect.

I like the combination of the music with the story, it adds a special touch and is something that makes this book stand out from others by the author or other books I have read. The songs that were composed for this story are the real deal, sung and co-written by Griffin Peterson, an artist right out of American Idol. This makes it easier for us to connect with the feelings of the characters in those moments. You can find the soundtrack on all digital platforms to go along with the reading. I highly recommend it.

The love story as such, you may not like it very much if you are one of those who hate love triangles, because yes, I regret to inform you that it has a love triangle. And it's quite hard to digest at first, because you read guilt on the part of the characters, frustration, pain. It makes you doubt a lot, what is right and what is wrong. Let's just say that at least I had a pretty hard time as the characters' feelings started to come out because I didn't see how this whole problem could be solved.

Although, like all romantic stories, it is usually resolved in the end. But what will the cost be?

Donde termina el arcoíris de Cecelia Ahern

Cuando leí este libro por primera vez fue todo lo que necesitaba en ese momento de mi vida. Como me quedó un buen recuerdo, lo volví a leer el año pasado y me siguió gustando.
No sé si les pasa, pero a veces me da un poco de miedo releer libros, sobre todo si me gustaron mucho, porque pienso que quizá ya no me gusten tanto como aquella primera vez. Por suerte no fue el caso de esta relectura. Aunque sí lo volví a encontrar frustrante, pero de eso les hablaré después de la sinopsis.

Sinopsis
Rosie y Alex, amigos inseparables desde la infancia, necesitan seguir compartiendo los momentos importantes y cotidianos. Pero sus vidas han tomado rumbos muy distintos y sólo pueden hacerlo mediante correos electrónicos, chats, cartas o postales. Rosie y Alex se cuentan en profundidad, sus vidas, sus sueños y la realidad de unos sentimientos que nunca se han atrevido a revelar.
La mágica conexión que los mantiene unidos, lejos de desvanecerse, se afianza, y ello a pesar de los infinitos malentendidos, de las vicisitudes de la vida, y, cómo no, del propio destino, que ha decidido seguir jugando con ellos manteniéndolos durante demasiado tiempo separados.
De pronto, una última oportunidad aparece ante ellos. ¿Apostarán Rosie y Alex por el amor verdadero?

Mi opinión
Bueno en esta ocasión nos encontramos con un libro que está completamente narrado a través de cartas, correos electrónicos, chats y postales, todo de manera diferida. Pienso que eso lo hace bastante original de leer.
La verdad que no lo sentí tedioso para nada. Sí a veces sentí que me faltaba más diálogo directo, pero pienso que estuvo acertada la manera de encarar esta historia, sino hubiera sido muy complicado por los saltos de tiempos que ocurren bastantes seguidos.

También me gusta sentirme identificada con los personajes que leo, y pude empatizar con Rosie en más de una ocasión. Ya que en el libro vamos a verla crecer y pasar por un montón de etapas. En los momentos en los que más empatice fueron donde se mostraba vulnerable por su futuro, si lo que estaba haciendo con su vida estaba bien, ya saben, aquello de querer un cambio.

Con respecto a la historia de amor, esa fue la parte frustrante porque todo el tiempo pasaban cosas que los alejaban, obstáculos que saltar y no se saltaban. Tardó todo un montón, pero bueno.
Por suerte también tuvo sus partes divertidas que hacían más ameno todo y te daban ganas de seguir leyendo y disfrutando de esta historia.

Si te gustan las historias de amor que suceden lentamente sin duda te va a gustar esta historia.

Además, como dato extra, tiene una adaptación que es muy buena, bastante fiel, y mucho menos frustrante que el libro. Quizá ya la conozcan, se llama los Imprevistos del amor o Love Rosie en su idioma original.

Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern

When I first read this book it was all I needed at that time in my life. Since I had a good memory of it, I read it again last year and I still liked it.
I don't know if it happens to you, but sometimes I'm a little afraid to reread books, especially if I liked them a lot, because I think that maybe I don't like them as much as I did the first time. Luckily that wasn't the case with this reread. Although I did find it frustrating again, but I'll tell you about that after the synopsis.

Synopsis
From naughty children to rebellious teenagers, Rosie and Alex have stuck by each other through thick and thin. But just as as they're discovering the joys of teenage nights on the town and dating disasters, they're separated. Alex's family move from Dublin to America - and Alex goes with them. For good.
Rosie's lost without him. But on the eve of her departure to join Alex in Boston, Rosie gets news that will change her life forever and keep her at home in Ireland.
Their magical connection sees them through the ups and downs of each others lives, but neither of them knows whether their friendship can survive the years and miles - or new relationships. And at the back of Rosie's mind is whether they were meant to be more than just good friends all along. Misunderstandings, circumstances and sheer bad luck have kept them apart, but when presented with the ultimate opportunity, will they gamble everything for true love?

My opinion
Well on this occasion we find ourselves with a book that is completely narrated through letters, emails, chats and postcards, all in a deferred manner. I think that makes it quite original to read.
The truth is that I didn't find it tedious at all. I did sometimes feel that it lacked more direct dialogue, but I think it was the right way to approach this story, otherwise it would have been very complicated because of the time jumps that occur quite often in a row.

I also like to identify with the characters I read, and I could empathize with Rosie on more than one occasion. Since in the book we get to see her grow up and go through a lot of stages. The moments where I empathized the most were where she was vulnerable about her future, if what she was doing with her life was right, you know, that thing about wanting a change.

Regarding the love story, that was the frustrating part because all the time there were things that kept them apart, obstacles to jump and they didn't jump. It took a lot of time, but okay.
Luckily it also had its funny parts that made everything more enjoyable and made you want to keep reading and enjoying this story.

If you like love stories that happen slowly you will definitely like this story.

Also, as a bonus, it has an adaptation that is very good, quite faithful, and much less frustrating than the book. You may already know it, it's called Love Rosie in its original language.

Orgullo y prejuicio de Jane Austen

Como no podía faltar un clásico en esta lista les traigo el más cliché de todos.
Quiero decirles que esté fue el primer audiolibro que escuche en mi vida. Hacía rato que quería leerlo, tampoco había visto la película, pero ya sabía la historia porque es muy conocida y siempre se comparten fragmentos en las redes sociales. Así que una tarde mientras limpiaba me puse a escucharlo y quedé sorprendida con la experiencia de escuchar un audiolibro y con, por fin, estar viviendo esta historia por primera vez. Un tiempo después vi la película también.

Sinopsis
Orgullo y prejuicio es una novela de amor o, mejor, una novela de enamorados. Bingley y Jane, Darcy y Elisabeth, Lydia y Wickham luchan para obtener el objeto de su pasión, deben jugar el juego que la sociedad en que viven les propone y deben ganarlo. Sin saltarse las reglas, pero con un tesón capaz de vencer cualquier barrera, llegarán a toda costa a ese matrimonio que para ellos habrá de marcar el inicio de la felicidad soñada.

Mi opinión
No sé si tengo mucho para decir de esta historia que no conozcan, seguro que si no leyeron el libro habrán visto la película que es igual de buena.
Pero el libro tiene el plus de darnos más detalles y escenas. También se redactan mejor los pensamientos y sentimientos de los personajes.

Lo que me gusta de esta historia es que se siente como un mimo al alma. Pienso que en esas épocas dónde era normal casarse sin amor, me alegra que se hayan encontrado el uno al otro. Son una pareja que se complementan muy bien.

Por fin pude entender todo ese amor que le tienen al señor Darcy. Debo confesarles que me sentí más conectada a él por su forma de ser y personalidad que a Elizabeth.

Me gusta la idea en los libros de Jane de retratar los diversos defectos o virtudes con los títulos de sus obras y ponerlos a sus personajes.

Este es sin dudas un buen clásico romántico para leer, en especial en estos días, así que si no lo han leído se los recomiendo.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

As I could not miss a classic in this list I bring you the most cliché of all.
I want to tell you that this was the first audiobook I listened to in my life. I had wanted to read it for a long time, I had not seen the movie either, but I already knew the story because it is well known and fragments are always shared on social networks. So one afternoon while I was cleaning I started to listen to it and I was amazed with the experience of listening to an audiobook and with, finally, living this story for the first time. Some time later I watched the movie as well.

Synopsis
Since its immediate success in 1813, Pride and Prejudice has remained one of the most popular novels in the English language. Jane Austen called this brilliant work "her own darling child" and its vivacious heroine, Elizabeth Bennet, "as delightful a creature as ever appeared in print." The romantic clash between the opinionated Elizabeth and her proud beau, Mr. Darcy, is a splendid performance of civilized sparring. And Jane Austen's radiant wit sparkles as her characters dance a delicate quadrille of flirtation and intrigue, making this book the most superb comedy of manners of Regency England.

My opinion
I don't know if I have much to say about this story that you don't know, I'm sure if you didn't read the book you will have seen the movie which is just as good.
But the book has the added bonus of giving us more details and scenes. Also the thoughts and feelings of the characters are better written.

What I like about this story is that it feels like a pampering of the soul. I think in those times where it was normal to marry without love, I'm glad they found each other. They are a couple that complement each other very well.

I could finally understand all the love they have for Mr. Darcy. I must confess that I felt more connected to him because of his manner and personality than to Elizabeth.

I like the idea in Jane's books of portraying the various flaws or virtues with the titles of her works and attaching them to her characters.

This is undoubtedly a good romantic classic to read, especially these days, so if you haven't read it I recommend it.

Hasta que el infierno nos separe de Sarah Hogle

Había visto una reseña en bookstagram y me había llamado bastante la atención, así que decidí leerlo.
Llegó el turno de la historia divertida, o al menos a mí me divirtió mucho en algunas partes. Obviamente no es todo risas y diversión, tiene sus momentos tensos, pero en ese entonces necesitaba leer algo que tuviera más humor que drama y esta fue una buena opción.

Sinopsis
Naomi vive con Nicholas desde hace tres años y están en la cuenta atrás de una boda que le trae de cabeza por las intromisiones de una suegra totalitaria. A medida que pasan los días se da cuenta de que ya no soporta a Nicholas: todo es una fachada para presumir en Instagram y preferiría hacerse el harakiri
a casarse con él. El rechazo es mutuo, pero ninguno de los dos quiere romper el compromiso, pues el que se eche atrás tendrá que hacerse cargo de lo que han gastado ya en los preparativos de la boda.
Empieza así una lucha delirante en la que ambos se sabotean y emplean toda la artillería emocional que tienen a su alcance hasta convertirse en enemigos íntimos. A medida que la fecha de la boda se acerca, su carrera hacia la destrucción mutua se acelera, pero ahora que no tienen nada que perder pueden ser por
fin ellos mismos y quizá aún queda alguna esperanza de que crucen la línea de meta juntos.
¿Y si tu enemigo resulta ser también tu prometido?

Mi opinión
Me llamó la atención que este libro parecía ir a la inversa de los que leo normalmente. Acá nos encontramos con que la pareja principal está planeando su boda. Ya habían pasado por el proceso de enamorarse y toda esa magia de conocerse que a mí me encanta leer. Pero, ¿se conocen realmente? No se ven tan felices por este acontecimiento importante, de hecho parecen muy desdichados. Eso me confundió un poco.

Algo parece ir mal en esta relación, la protagonista, Naomi, se la pasa teniendo pensamientos en contra de Nicholas, su novio y prometido. Me hizo sentir como si debiera odiarlo también. Pero tampoco tiene ganas de romper el compromiso porque ya pusieron mucho dinero y no está dispuesta a retractarse y perder.
Y parece que del lado del novio pasa lo mismo.

Ahí empieza lo divertido. Hay una especie de guerra entre los dos por ver quién se pasa de la raya y hace enojar más al otro como para que termine por romper la relación antes de que sea tarde.

No les voy a mentir, a veces me daban ganas de meterme adentro del libro y preguntarles a los dos qué les pasa, que están haciendo. Por momentos se vuelve muy desesperante leerlos. En un momento me caía mal Nicholas, en otro Naomi.

Además de todo esto, Nicholas tiene una madre que es todo lo que está mal. En serio, es de esas señoras entrometidas que no hacen más que empeorar las cosas y luego se hace la víctima. Ella me cae mal siempre.

Esta historia parece ser un lovers to enemies to lovers. ¿Lo será?
Para descubrirlo tienen que leerlo.

You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle

Synopsis
Naomi Westfield has the perfect fiancé: Nicholas Rose holds doors open for her, remembers her restaurant orders, and comes from the kind of upstanding society family any bride would love to be a part of. They never fight. They're preparing for their lavish wedding that's three months away. And she is miserably and utterly sick of him.
Naomi wants out, but there's a catch: whoever ends the engagement will have to foot the nonrefundable wedding bill. When Naomi discovers that Nicholas, too, has been feigning contentment, the two of them go head-to-head in a battle of pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.
But with the countdown looming to the wedding that may or may not come to pass, Naomi finds her resolve slipping. Because now that they have nothing to lose, they're finally being themselves and having fun with the last person they expect: each other.

My opinion
It struck me that this book seemed to go the other way around from the ones I normally read. Here we find that the main couple is planning their wedding. They had already gone through the process of falling in love and all that getting to know each other magic that I love to read about. But do they really know each other? They don't look all that happy about this important event, in fact they look very unhappy. That confused me a bit.

Something seems to go wrong in this relationship, the main character, Naomi, keeps having thoughts against Nicholas, her boyfriend and fiancé. It made me feel like I should hate him too. But she also doesn't feel like breaking off the engagement because they already put up a lot of money and she's not willing to back out and lose.
And it seems like it's the same on the boyfriend's side.

That's where the fun begins. There is a kind of war between the two to see who goes too far and makes the other more angry so that he ends up breaking the relationship before it's too late.

I'm not going to lie, sometimes I felt like getting inside the book and asking them both what's going on, what they are doing. At times it becomes very desperate to read them. At one moment I disliked Nicholas, at another Naomi.

On top of all this, Nicholas has a mother who is everything that is wrong. Seriously, she's one of those meddling ladies who does nothing but make things worse and then plays the victim. I dislike her all the time.

This story seems to be a lovers to enemies to lovers. Will it be?

Segundas primeras impresiones de Sally Thorne

Este libro fue el segundo que leí este año. Me pareció el momento indicado porque es muy veraniego y acá en Argentina estamos en verano. Aparte es el segundo libro que leo de la autora, el primero me gusto mucho y casi lo pongo en lugar de este, pero finalmente me decidí por este que lo tengo más fresco y pude conectar muy bien con la protagonista.

Sinopsis
Ruthie Midona lleva años trabajando en la administración del complejo Providence, a la entera disposición de los adinerados residentes y de las especies raras de tortugas que rondan por el césped impecable. Sigue una rutina sin apenas cambios. Hasta que conoce a Teddy Prescott, el hijo del nuevo propietario de Providence, y su nuevo vecino. Alto, tatuado y con el pelo más maravilloso del mundo, Teddy está ahorrando para hacer realidad su sueño de abrir un salón de tatuajes. Es la definición personificada del riesgo, y deja deslumbrada a Ruthie a primera vista… hasta que la confunde con una ancianita.
Ruthie descubre la forma perfecta de vengarse de Teddy y su insultante primera impresión: las residentes más excéntricas acaban de poner un anuncio (¡sí, otro!) en busca de un ayudante personal a quien atormentar. Las Parloni tienen noventa años, son unas pequeñas amenazas andantes y ninguno de sus ayudantes ha durado ni una semana. Ruthie reconoce a un derrotista en cuanto lo ve y está más que dispuesta a ofrecerles a Teddy.
Para sorpresa de Ruthie, Teddy demuestra ser el empleado definitivo y despliega su encanto por toda la villa, incluido el corazón de Ruthie, llenándolo con su visión chispeante, nunca seria, de la vida. Pero con el futuro de Providence pendiendo de un hilo y los planes de la familia de Teddy amenazando con destruir el pequeño universo de Ruthie, ¿estará Teddy ahí, cuando más lo necesite?

Mi opinión
Bueno, como conté más arriba es una historia con la que pude sentirme identificada a través de la protagonista. Ruthie es una joven de 24 años que trabaja y vive en un complejo que funciona como una residencia para ancianos pudientes. Ella es la administradora del lugar y pasa tanto tiempo en la residencia cuidando a los ancianos que hasta se empezó a sentir como ellos. Ella misma se describe más de una vez como un alma vieja en un cuerpo de alguien joven (yo no trabajo con gente mayor, pero igual me siento como ella). Es muy ordenada, tiene que tener todo bajo control y hasta compartimos algunos pasatiempos (sí me vi)

Además en el lugar residen unas tortugas de caparazón doradas que están en peligro de extinción. Allí encontraron un hogar tranquilo donde repoblarse y Ruthie se encarga de cuidarlas y hacerlas atender con un veterinario en caso de ser necesario.
Todo libro que tenga algún animal simpático haciendo travesuras en sus páginas se va a ganar mi corazón enseguida porque es uno de mis puntos débiles.

Como historia de amor me gusto que fuera de manera lenta, que todo se diera naturalmente, sin forzarlo. Es como si en algún momento hubiera estado claro que los protagonistas estaban en una relación pero ellos todavía no se daban cuenta.

Es muy ligero y rápido de leer. Además tiene sus momentos divertidos. Recomiendo para distenderse y pasar un buen rato.

Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne

This book was the second one I read this year. I thought it was the right time because it is very summery and here in Argentina we are in summer. Besides, it is the second book I read by the author, I liked the first one very much and I almost put it in place of this one, but finally I decided to read this one because it is fresher and I could connect very well with the main character.

Synopsis
Ruthie Midona will work in Providence's front office, and be at the Parloni's beck and call, forever. That's sort of her life plan. If Ruthie can run the place in her almost-retired bosses' absence, with no hijinks/hiccups, she has a shot at becoming the new manager. She might also be able to defend her safe little world from Prescott Development, the new buyer of the prime site. Maybe after all that, she can find a cute guy to date. All she needs to do is stay serious—and that's what she does best.
Until, one day, someone dazzling blows into town.
Teddy Prescott devotes his life to sleeping, tattooing, and avoiding seriousness. When Teddy needs a place to crash, he makes a deal with his developer dad. Teddy can stay in one of Providence's on-site maintenance cottages—right next door to an unimpressed Ruthie—but only if he works there and starts to grow up.
Ruthie knows how this sweetly selfish rich boy can earn his keep—and be out of her hair in under a week. After all, there is a position vacant.

My opinion
Well, as I told above it is a story that I could identify with through the main character. Ruthie is a 24 year old young woman who works and lives in a complex that functions as a residence for the wealthy elderly. She is the administrator of the place and spends so much time at the residence taking care of the elderly that she even started to feel like them. She describes herself more than once as an old soul in a young person's body (I don't work with old people, but I still feel like her). She is very tidy, has to have everything under control and we even share some hobbies (yes, I saw me).

The place is also home to endangered golden-shelled turtles. They found a peaceful home there to repopulate and Ruthie takes care of them and has them seen by a veterinarian if necessary.
Any book that has a cute animal making mischief on its pages is going to win my heart right away because it's one of my weak points.

As a love story I liked that it was slow, that everything happened naturally, without forcing it. It's as if at some point it was clear that the protagonists were in a relationship but they didn't realize it yet.

It is very light and quick to read. It also has its funny moments. I recommend it to relax and have a good time.

Como estaba siendo todo muy heterosexual, me parece buena idea incluir este libro.
No leí muchos que sean LGBT+ pero de los que sí este es uno que me gustó mucho. También tiene una adaptación que es bastante buena y una serie, por si quieren verlas.

Sinopsis
¿Qué serías capaz de hacer para proteger tu secreto mejor guardado?
Simon ha hecho lo impensable: ceder al chantaje de Martin. O Simon se las ingenia para que su amiga Abby salga con Martin o este le hablará a todo el mundo de los correos electrónicos. De los correos electrónicos que Simon, escondido tras un seudónimo, intercambia con un tal Bluegreen, que es el chico más divertido, desconcertante y adorable que Simon ha conocido nunca. Y es que Simon, pese a su afición al teatro, prefiere no exponer a los focos su identidad sexual, al menos de momento. Sin embargo, seguirle la corriente a Martin no será la solución a sus problemas, sino más bien el comienzo de un enorme embrollo.
¿Qué hará Martin si no consigue conquistar a Abby?
¿Cómo reaccionará Abby si se entera del chantaje?
¿Qué pensará Bluegreen de Simon si la intimidad de ambos queda comprometida?
Y, la cuestión más importante:
¿Quién demonios es Bluegreen?

Mi opinión
No sé si se puede considerar como una historia romántica, creo que trata más sobre la aceptación. Pero considero que también tiene su lado romántico. Aparte es un romance juvenil porque son adolescentes. Así que es todo lo inocente y puro que puede llegar a ser.
Las partes en las que estos dos interactuaban, a través de un chat, me daban la vida.

Me gustó mucho Simon como protagonista, adore la relación que tiene con sus padres y amigos.
Del otro lado, es todo un misterio, porque no sabemos quién es Bluegreen y eso intriga mucho, me mantuvo bastante expectante. Creo que le aporta un toque especial porque te dan ganas de llegar a la verdad, se lee bastante rápido.

En definitiva, disfruté mucho está lectura, espero que ustedes también.

Since it was being all very straight, I thought it was a good idea to include this book.
I didn't read many that are LGBT+ but of those that I did this is one that I really liked. It also has an adaptation that is pretty good and a series, if you want to check them out.

Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.
With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met.

My opinion
I don't know if it can be considered a romantic story, I think it's more about acceptance. But I consider that it also has its romantic side. Other than that it's a teen romance because they're teenagers. So it's as innocent and pure as it can get.
The parts where these two were interacting, through a chat room, gave me life.

I really liked Simon as the main character, love the relationship he has with his parents and friends.
On the other side, it's all a mystery, because we don't know who Bluegreen is and that intrigues a lot, it kept me quite expectant. I think it adds a special touch because it makes you want to get to the truth, it reads pretty fast.

All in all, I really enjoyed this read, I hope you did too.

Bueno creo que hasta acá llegaron mis recomendaciones, porque si sigo poniendo las que se me van ocurriendo mientras escribo no me va a alcanzar la vida y temo que sea todo muy largo y denso.
