RE: It only took reading the first book [EN/PT]

I feel many of us go through the same experiences with reading, once you're no longer forced to read for school or education purposes and we can find enjoyment in our own avnues (mine for example is post-apocalyptic, I don't know why but the world building and survival in these genre of books always captivates me!)

I always did want to attempt getting into the Game of Thrones series for a better understanding of the storyline outside of the show, seems the directors made a lot of bad errors with how they decides to portray the events that unfold in the book.

I'm glad they allowed you to find your favourite author!

The first season is very faithful to the book, but after that, many things go off track. However, that's normal, it must be quite challenging to maintain fidelity since they are different mediums for portraying a story. But it's worth giving the story a chance, it's amazing.

I also really like post-apocalyptic themes, but I've never read a book with that theme. I would appreciate some recommendations!

I definitely should, knowing majority of the story kind of makes for an more interesting read, to see the true paths the characters I like set out upon without being killed off by the tv directors 😂

my favourite for the apocalypse genre is the "Metro" series by Dmitry Glukhovsky! the books became so popular they got adapted into Video games also, even funner to play them!

A Roadside Picnic is another that inspired a lot of similar works of fiction, also "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy is one of my all time favourites, it sets the world so fantastically!
