El Jardín Secreto es un libro que recopila siete de los mejores cuentos de Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874-1936). Este autor londinense fue uno de los críticos, novelistas y poetas más destacado y exitoso de la literatura de lengua inglesa.

Secret Garden is a book that compiles seven of the best stories by Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874-1936). This London author was one of the most prominent and successful critics, novelists and poets in English literature.


Los lectores podrán encontrar en El Jardín Secreto las aventuras del padre Brown, donde a través de sus notoria inteligencia y astucia tiene que desentrañar una serie de misterios. Siendo el cuento del mismo título que el libro, a mi parecer uno de los mejores. No se debe confundir este recuento de historias con el drama subcoreano que lleva este mismo título. Por cierto, lo recomiendo que es excelente.

Readers will be able to find in The Secret Garden the adventures of Father Brown, where through his notorious intelligence and cunning he has to unravel a series of mysteries. Being the story of the same title as the book, in my opinion one of the best. This retelling of stories should not be confused with the sub-Korean drama that bears the same title. By the way, I recommend it, it is excellent.

Las aventuras del curita, además de hacer volar nuestra imaginación y de ampliar nuestra cultura y que nos presentan de una forma muy fidedigna escenarios y épocas no vividas por nosotros, nos infunden desasosiego, expectación, alivio ante los misterios resueltos y principalmente ponen a trabajar nuestra mente como si fuésemos el mismísimo Brown. El protagonista fue inspirado en el padre O'Connor, a quien Chesterton conoció en 1907 y a quien admiraba por su inteligencia y simpatía.

The adventures of the priest, in addition to making our imagination fly and expanding our culture and presenting us in a very reliable way with scenarios and times we have not experienced, instill in us restlessness, expectation, relief in the face of solved mysteries and mainly put our mind as if we were Brown himself. The protagonist was inspired by Father O'Connor, whom Chesterton met in 1907 and whom he admired for his intelligence and friendliness.

      Hola @dianegr interesante tu post, en lo personal no he tenido la oportunidad de leer una obra del autor, sin embargo he visto la serie del Padre Brown y me parece bueno, me gustan ese tipo de obras al estilo Hitchcock.
