Bad reading habits

Hola querida comunidad de Hive,
Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Como siempre, es un placer poder venir por este medio a hablarles de lo que tanto nos gusta: los libros. Hoy quiero compartirles algunas cosas que he hecho al momento de leer y que, en algún punto, me dieron un poco de pena, pero que hoy en día acepto y reconozco que debo mejorar.

I hope you are all doing well. As always, it is a pleasure to be able to come here and talk to you about what we love so much: books. Today I want to share with you some things I have done while reading that, at some point, made me feel a little ashamed, but which I now accept and recognize that I need to improve.

3. Leer mucho, pero no con constancia/Read a lot, but not consistently

Este año he leído, o al menos lo he intentado (jeje). Sin embargo, me pasa que hay días en los que leo muchísimo, pero después, por el estrés de la vida adulta, termino dejando el libro a un lado. Y eso está muy mal.

This year I've been reading, or at least trying to (hehe). However, there are days when I read a lot, but then, due to the stress of adult life, I end up putting the book aside. And that's really bad.

2. Leer solo boys love/Read only boys love

Bueno, si han visto mi blog, se habrán dado cuenta de que amo los BL. Siempre me han parecido historias tiernas y llenas de emociones reales. Pero debo admitir que muchos de los que he intentado leer no logran atraparme. A veces hay otros libros que llaman mi atención… ¡y no son BL! Jejeje.

Well, if you've seen my blog, you'll have noticed that I love BL. I've always found them to be tender stories full of real emotions. But I must admit that many of the ones I've tried to read fail to captivate me. Sometimes other books catch my attention... and they're not BL! Hehehe.

1. Saltarme las descripciones/Skip descriptions

Principalmente cuando las descripciones son demasiado largas, confieso que a veces me las salto para ir directo a los diálogos. Aunque, lo admito, luego me siento culpable y regreso a leerlas (jajaja). Pero creo que todos lo hemos hecho alguna vez, ¿verdad?

Mainly when descriptions are too long, I confess that sometimes I skip them to go straight to the dialogues. Although, I admit, I then feel guilty and go back to read them (hahaha). But I think we've all done that at some point, right?

Y bueno, eso es todo jejeje. Considero que lo importante es poder aceptar nuestros hábitos de lectura, reconocer en qué fallamos y seguir mejorando poco a poco.

Well, that's all, haha. I think the important thing is to accept our reading habits, recognize where we fall short, and keep improving little by little.
