Hola queridos amigos de Hive y de esta maravillosa comunidad de Hive Book Club, espero se encuentren bien y que hayan tenido un excelente día. En esta hermosa tarde les quiero compartir un libro que leí hace mucho tiempo y hace poco volví a leer, se trata del segundo libro de la serie “Los Donovan”, una serie que desde que la leí por primera vez me encantó su trama, una historia llena de magia, amor, sobretodo tristeza y esperanza, tristeza por el secuestro de un bebé de pocos meses de nacido y la esperanza de poder recuperarlo. En esta historia los protagonistas nos llevan por cada uno de los pasos en la búsqueda de este hermoso y querido niño.
Este libro narra la historia de Sebastián Donovan, el primer y único hijo de Douglas Donovan y Camila Corrigan, dos brujos de nacimiento y como es de esperar Sebastián Donovan también ha heredado algunos poderes sobrenaturales, el puede ver y sentir fragmentos del pasado o presente, el cual ha sido un gran beneficio para tener una carrera de parapsicólogo. Sebastián ama su carrera pero muchas veces las cosas que ha visto no han sido nada buenas y difíciles de superar, aún así a el siempre le ha gustado ayudar a las personas, algunos casos no terminan bien, pero algunos si y es por eso que sigue con su carrera. Mary Ellen Sutherland es una mujer decidida y muy escéptica, ella ha creado una agencia de detectives después de trabajar con la policía, ahora está en uno de sus casos, pero es muy malo porque robaron al hijo de sus mejores amigos Rose y Stan Merrick. Mel se había encariñado mucho con David y cuando lo secuestraron se dedicó completamente al caso, han pasado dos meses y no han tenido ninguna pista, es por eso que Rose ha decidido buscar los servicios de Sebastián Donovan, el parapsicólogo más recomendado de la ciudad, Mell (el apodo de Mary Ellen) no está de acuerdo con esto pero por su amistad con Rose acepta trabajar juntamente con Sebastián para encontrar a David, lo que no contaba es que Sebastián es muy bueno en su profesión, pero también es muy bueno en el tema de la seducción y Mell no es inmune a sus encantos.
Este libro ha sido una maravilla, me ha encantado, como hace Sebastián para hacer que Mell crea en lo que él hace, en sus poderes y poco a poco se va enamorando de ella, pero ella no cree en el amor debido a que siempre ha creído que ese sentimiento es efímero, Mell no tuvo la mejor de las infancias por lo que ha dejado de creer en el Amor. Sebastián tiene un largo camino que recorrer para lograr sus dos objetivos, encontrar a David Merrick para devolverlo a sus padres y lograr que Mell acepte lo que él siente hacia ella y lo que ella siente por él, son tareas difíciles pero Sebastián no se rendirá. El ha tenido el ejemplo de su familia, el amor lo puede todo y está vez no será lo contrario, solo falta que Mell quiera abrir su corazón a las posibilidades. Lo que me gustó de esta historia es justamente esto, estás enseñanzas son especiales y la enseñanza más importante de este libro es nunca perder la esperanza.

Sebastian loves his career but many times the things he has seen have not been good and difficult to overcome, even so he has always liked to help people, some cases do not end well, but some do and that is why he continues with his career. Mary Ellen Sutherland is a determined and very skeptical woman, she has created a detective agency after working with the police, now she is on one of her cases, but it is very bad because they stole the son of her best friends Rose and Stan Merrick. Mel had become very fond of David and when he was kidnapped she dedicated herself completely to the case, two months have passed and they haven't had any clues, that's why Rose has decided to seek the services of Sebastian Donovan, the most recommended parapsychologist in town, Mell (Mary Ellen's nickname) does not agree with this but because of her friendship with Rose she agrees to work together with Sebastian to find David, what she did not count on is that Sebastian is very good at his profession, but he is also very good at seduction and Mell is not immune to his charms.
This book was a marvel, I loved it, how Sebastian makes Mell believe in what he does, in his powers and little by little he falls in love with her, but she does not believe in love due to the fact that she has always believed that this feeling is ephemeral, Mell did not have the best of childhoods so she has stopped believing in Love. Sebastian has a long way to go to achieve his two goals, find David Merrick to return him to his parents and get Mell to accept what he feels for her and what she feels for him, are difficult tasks but Sebastian will not give up. He has had the example of his family, love can do anything and this time it won't be the opposite, it only remains that Mell wants to open her heart to the possibilities. What I liked about this story is just that, these teachings are special and the most important teaching of this book is to never lose hope.
