From Kitchen to Workbench

in InteriorDesign2 years ago

Since my last post a few more thing have happened in the apartment. Mostly small stuff like removing radiators and prepping the walls for plastering.

One of the bigger things that happened is removal of the kitchen tiles and part of the bathroom tiles. Luckily they came off quite easily! Here's a before and after of a small portion of the kitchen wall:

While I was in the flow of tile removal, I quite quickly filled up all the rubbish bins that I have. In total I filled about 0.25 m^3 over the past weekend. The bad thing is that dumping this rubbish is only possible during the day or Saturday morning due to the opening hours of the tip.

In the bathroom I quickly did one of the walls:

I'm quite happy only half the wall is tiled :P

Finally this evening, I've decided to remove the kitchen. I orignally planned to wait for the plumber to close of the piping. I found a work araound though. Why not simply leave the piping untouched! :P

Look how clean it turned out once the cabinets were gone:

After cutting out the piping and halfway removing the kitchen cabinets, figured the kitchen could still function as a workbench for my tools. Here's where it ended up in one of the bedrooms:

This is the perfect workbench while working on the house!

Tomorrow the first plumber will drop by to give me a quote for the plumbing work. Let's see what that will bring!
