After several days of waiting for the ideal time to have a longer reflection hunting spree, finally, I was able to arrive earlier at the surfing site, and something inside me seemed to jump for joy as I found out that the water at the mouth of the river is shallow and I can wade to the other side to have more pictures to be shared in this community. And yes, got a bonus for it, as the reflection of the sun can be seen vividly on the water that is not yet disturbed by the wind, as it frees itself from the clouds. To my delight, I call this as angel wings as the clouds and their reflection formed a wing-shaped figure against the early morning sky... But wait, it could also be a butterfly? What do you think?
I crossed the knee-deep water, and my thoughts are racing as I wondered what awaited me on the other side. If I couldn't find what I am looking for, what alternative subjects could I share with the Shadow Hunter's Community?
To battle the negativities that shrouded my mind, I pointed my phone and started to scan the surroundings while my other phone continued to record the events while I waded to the other side and my ghostly reflection appeared at the water that flows down to the sea.
Upon reaching the other side of the river mouth, I walked further so I can be able to find subjects which I haven't shared from my previous writings because I want to give my best shot not to impress people but to make my subjects diversified. This way, I can get rid of monotonous things that can cause boredom. The first thing I saw is the mesmerizing reflection of the rising sun that a figure that something that looks like an entity from other dimension can be seen if the photograph will be held vertically.
I once again aimed my phone at another angle, still concentrating on the clouds that reflected on the water, and I saw a figure of a mythical golden serpent with its body curved at the water and its head at the leftmost upper portion of the photograph.
I pointed my phone upstream, taking in the scenery from afar. The trees that seemed to stand like sentinels with there silhouettes add depth to the landscape and ever changing cloud formation are the main features of the foggy, mirror-like terrain.
I went to the upper portion of the sandy riverbank, as I am curious about how the surrounding landscape will appear on the water with the clouds as one of the primary subjects to the scene, and the result is so magical, just like a work of art that is unveiled right before my very eyes!
I pointed my phone towards the opposite direction where the location of the kiosks can be found, and the serene and idyllic ambiance of the place is very well detailed in the reflection with the striking presence of the wispy clouds that creates a mesmerizing, tranquil effect to the scene. The reflection of the trees is also clear on the water surface, with their lush green foliage that can be seen. Furthermore, the curves of the sandy beach are also well detailed in the picture... All of which add a relaxing atmosphere that is mirrored vividly on the surface of the calm water.
I once again turned towards the direction going upstream as the view of the clouds creates a mesmerizing effect with hues of pink, orange and blue which in turn gives an impressive picturesque that makes the morning sky more vibrant and livelier.
Since the water remains unruffled by the wind, I give enough time for myself to focus on its surface as it becomes a mirror while the sky is transformed into a living canvas by the interplay of light and shadows created by the rays of the sun, which creates a mesmerizing double vision as the vibrant hues of the sky are mirrored by the tranquil water. At this moment, the water transformed into an untarnished gem that reflected the sky's kaleidoscope of colors.
I shifted my focus to the other side of the river, where the trees and the sky are perfectly mirrored on the water. The ghostly reflection of the mountain and the kiosk that is nestled amongst the trees gives an impression that humans can live in harmony with nature.
After feasting my eyes on the reflection I saw from the river, I walked my way to return to the beach, and I noticed that the amphibious excavator is still not in operation, so I included it as another subject with the sky as its background.
I also photographed how the landscape reflected on the wet sand as the waves receded to the sea, and I call this "minute reflection" because the reflection only appears for a short period of time—that is, when the sand can still hold the water before it vanishes.
This selfie, a reflection on the still water of the mouth of Maragayap River, marks the end of my reflection-hunting saga for this week's Reflection Hunter's Contest #203 hosted by @olgavita. I hope that you enjoyed reading my humble composition, and I would also express my sincere thanks to our sponsors. 'til then, and have a great day, everyone!
Very nice photos all, sunsets and sunrises have magic and you knew how to capture it.
Thanks! I am really fond of taking pictures and videos of them. They don't need filters because their beauty is so naturally mesmerizing to the eye.
Likewise. Have a wonderful day!🤗❤️🫰
