A hug to all lovers of reflections. Today, I bring you one of those landscapes frequently seen on country roads in Cuba.

Rural areas are the most forgotten places when it comes to public services, so road maintenance is not a priority. The inhabitants of the countryside travel in carretas or quitrines pulled by horses, the best transport for crossing swampy areas.

It's impossible not to remember my childhood, riding on my mother's back as we crossed rivers and puddles. We would leave home wearing old shoes and, upon reaching a certain point, would change them to arrive in the city looking impeccable.
