a few years ago a group of local enthusiasts planned financed and built a floating sauna in the park that once was a naval base here. it has become a popular year-round addition to the town's attractions both for locals and tourists.


access to the entrance is by a ramp from the park. the structure has a simple elegant design in wood. there is a rear door and platform to dive into the sea when those using the sauna get overheated. it's especially stimulating in the winter when the water is ice cold. a quick dip, then up the ladder and back inside the steamy sauna. it's great for blood circulation, heart, detox and more. so if you are ever in town, sign up for a session, you can choose from private or public. the website is:
