As everyone who has read knows, in photography everything is light and therefore shadows would not exist without light. The shadow has always been a mysterious, unknown element, which pigment the visual arts whether we are talking about film, painting or photography.
Controlled or not, its darkness can give the photo a unique dose and is often present in the composition of a photo.
