Winning the @forykw biggest giveaway was a massive buzz.

I had been entering a few completions in the photo, risingstargame and splinterlands community groups not expecting to win anything, but more of a good way to learn what this Hive stuff is all about.
I think it is always going to be a hugely positive experience reading and scrolling down @forykw's update and seeing how I stuffed up the entry in the 2nd chance prize, but then reading I had won first prize!!!!!

So what have I learned???

Luckily I was having some unplanned time off work; just a quiet spot between big jobs. So this meant I was able to - and now was hugely motivated to try and - make the most out of the next 2 weeks. Basically I have been just posting as much as I can, but always reminding myself "quality rather than quantity" seems to be an important factor.

I am guessing my post up votes have maybe doubled in value and been getting heaps more notice since winning 9999 Hive Power. The real power seems to be in my up voting's of other posts, previously my votes were like dust: .002 at best, then all of a sudden they're .20 and up to almost .50, and I was getting kind remarks like "thanks for your generous up vote".

I have resisted the strong desire to up vote all my own posts thinking whatever I would gain would be lost by not getting other people's votes and support, but have tried made sure I do not miss up voting the posts and comments by my partner, any of my friends and kind people I have been able to interact with on my short time on Hive.
