A New Roof
It is true that lately I have not published regularly the progress of the works inside my house, but it turns out that as time goes by the projects become more ambitious, somewhat more expensive and therefore, more difficult to achieve, since they require a better economic planning and a greater amount of waiting time, but undoubtedly when you have clear goals and work under a strict order, then the road to success is assured and the objectives are gradually becoming a reality.

Un Techo Nuevo
Es cierto que últimamente no he publicado con regularidad los avances en cuánto a los trabajos dentro de mi casa, pero resulta que a medida que va pasando el tiempo los proyectos se van haciendo más ambiciosos, un tanto más costosos y por lo cual, más difíciles de lograr, puesto que requieren una mejor planificación económica y una mayor cantidad de tiempo de espera, pero sin duda alguna cuando se tienen las metas claras y se trabaja bajo un estricto orden, entonces el camino hacia el éxito está asegurado y los objetivos poco a poco se van convirtiendo en una realidad.

Initially, a gable roof was an idea that amazed me, since it is a traditional design, but at the same time beautiful and brings great benefits. But in such a hot area as this idea of an idyllic space became a really hot house, where the fans are not effective elements and to think of an air conditioner then we would have to recondition the entire space, so that in this way we achieve an even air conditioning and at the same time an elegant space.
Inicialmente, un techo a dos aguas era una idea que me maravillaba, puesto que se trata de un diseño tradicional, pero al mismo tiempo lindo y que trae grandes beneficios. Pero en una zona tan calurosa como está esa idea de un espacio idílico se convirtió en una casa realmente calurosa, en donde los ventiladores no son elementos eficaces y para pensar en un aire acondicionado entonces habría que reacondicionar todo el espacio, para que de esta manera logremos una climatización pareja y al mismo tiempo un espacio elegante.
Currently, in the market there are many techniques and materials for ceilings, but among all decided to choose the PVC, as it is a visually pleasing element, very light, easy to maintain and durability, which will guarantee me a ceiling that will remain in perfect condition for a long time, which is not necessary to invest amounts of money for maintenance and which will give me a completely airtight space, which is very necessary for the installation of an air conditioner that allows temperature control at pleasant levels.
Actualmente, en el mercado existen muchas técnicas y materiales para techos rasos, Pero entre todos decidí escoger el PVC, ya que se trata de un elemento visualmente agradable, muy ligero, fácil de mantener y de amplia durabilidad, lo cual me va a garantizar un techo que se mantendrá en perfectas condiciones durante mucho tiempo, al cual no es necesario invertir cantidades de dinero para su mantenimiento y el cual me brindará un espacio totalmente hermético, lo cual es muy necesario para la instalación de un aire acondicionado que permita controlar la temperatura en niveles agradables.
The living room and kitchen share an open space, in total we are talking about about 24 square meters, which were covered entirely with PVC sheets, each of them measured 6 meters long and installation was relatively easy and quick, the good thing is that everything was very neat, no unwanted ties are seen, or details that could affect the aesthetics of the environment.
La sala y la cocina comparten un espacio abierto, en total estamos hablando de alrededor de 24 metros cuadrados, los cuales fueron cubiertos en su totalidad con láminas de PVC, cada una de ellas medía 6 metros de largo y su instalación fue relativamente fácil y rápida, lo bueno es que todo quedó muy pulcro, no se ven empates indeseados, ni detalles que pudieran afear la estética del entorno.
For the lighting we opted for a total of seven 18w recessed lights, which are combined with three 14w wall lamps. This generates a fully illuminated environment, where there is total clarity in all rooms of the house, a situation that allows to perform any task at any time without any problem. It is important to highlight that at the same time the emergency lighting was maintained, which is based on two 60w reflectors which are powered by solar energy and serve as backup light for times when power outages leave us in the dark during the night.
Para la iluminación se optó por un total de siete lámparas empotrables de 18w, las cuales se combinan con tres lámparas de pared de 14w. Lo cual genera un ambiente totalmente iluminado, en donde se cuenta con una claridad total en todas las estancias de la casa, situación que permite realizar cualquier tarea a cualquier hora sin problema alguno. Es importante resaltar que al mismo tiempo se mantuvo la iluminación de emergencia, la cual se basa en dos reflectores de 60w los cuales son alimentados por energía solar y sirven como luz de respaldo para los momentos en donde los cortes de energía nos dejen a oscuras durante la noche.
To address the issue of air conditioning, an 18,000 BTU TCL split air conditioner was purchased and installed in the south area of the living room, in order to keep it away from the fumes emanating from the kitchen. At the same time, a 16' wall fan was kept which could be used to expand the cold air more adequately. With this we were able to maintain a pleasant and cool interior temperature, which contrasts with the 38 and even 40 degrees Celsius that can be felt on a hot day in the outdoor area.
Para tratar el tema de la climatización, se adquirió un equipo de aire acondicionado split marca TCL de 18.000 BTU, el cual fue instalado en el área sur de la sala, esto con la finalidad de mantenerlo alejado de los vapores emanados de la cocina. Al mismo tiempo, se mantuvo un ventilador de pared de 16' el cual pudiera servir para expandir el aire frío de forma más adecuada. Con esto logramos mantener una temperatura interior agradable y fresca, lo cual contrasta con los 38 y hasta 40 grados centígrados que se pueden sentir en un día caluroso en el área exterior.
This is how, little by little, we went from an almost industrial design to a new space, dominated by elegance, comfort and the perfect combination of decorative elements, where everything fits perfectly, generating a visually pleasing space, quite clear and perfectly illuminated.
Es así como poco a poco se pasó de un diseño casi industrial a un nuevo espacio, dominado por la elegancia, confort y la perfecta combinación de elementos decorativos, en donde todo encaja a la perfección, generando un espacio visualmente agradable, bastante claro y perfectamente iluminado.

Heat is a problem within home interiors. And I wonder why you haven't installed insulation materials directly below the roofing sheets? Is this a common practice in your region?
@storiesoferne True, the roof is essential when building a house, and fortunately here it is very well installed and has good safety measures.
Initially, this structure was designed to have tongue-and-groove paneling installed under the main roof sheets, but for reasons I still don't fully understand, this material never arrived. Then a friend kindly offered to give me a considerable discount on the installation of PVC, and given that this was a unique opportunity and I didn't really have much of a budget, I decided to go ahead with it.
I have gradually learned about everything related to design and construction, since this is new to me and, to be honest, the style of construction here is quite basic, so insulating elements such as those you mention are not very common.
Despite everything, I can tell you that in terms of temperature control, this design is working very well thanks to the air conditioners, and although in other latitudes that would translate into a considerable expense in electricity bills, here in Venezuela this service is super cheap, which is an advantage.
