When The Rain Makes Arborea Café Feel Gloomy

Sometimes, Social Media is a very good advertising medium these days. Aesthetic places will go viral fast. It will be very beneficial for every business owner because indirectly they get free exposure from their customers. People will be influenced and come there to enjoy the vibe of the place.

Some time ago, I was influenced by viral places. Hidden gems that have good vibes and ambiance are things that genuinely affect me. However, what appears on social media can be different from the real thing. I saw an exposure of a cafe located in the forest, it was very nice and looked like it had a good atmosphere. I wanted to be there and feel the outdoor vibe of that 3-floor cafe. The cafe was very unique, located in the forest, but it did not match what social media showed.

Arborea Cafe

The cafe is Arborea Café, located in the center of Jakarta, precisely next to the DPR RI (The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia )area, Senayan. I had too high expectations because the rain ruined it.

The shape is also very unique, reminding us of the shape of start-up office buildings that prioritize the aesthetics of the building. This cafe has the same value. In addition, the outdoor space is also very interesting. I think anyone who goes here should bring their group and family because Arborea Café is very family-friendly.

If we look at Arborea Café from an architectural perspective, it has a Structural Expressionism type of architecture where this café seems to highlight the structure and material of wood as the main material of its main building. How awesome!

This cafe originally had two floors, the first floor was a very natural outdoor space, while the second floor was an indoor space. However, because the cafe business is currently so promising, Arborea Café added another space, namely the rooftop space where this area can be reached by stairs and an additional elevator next to the building. The addition looked very striking.

Unfortunately, I didn't go to the rooftop space because it was already drizzling outside.

The barista and waitress tables had a small space, but they also provided bar chairs there so that customers could sit while waiting for their orders to be finished.

This is an indoor area located on the second floor, where the design and concept are very interesting. Functioning the walls of the room as a customer space by combining glass as the wall material. That way, customers who sit there will still be able to enjoy the atmosphere outside (the green space) through this room.

In addition, the other walls in this room are mirrors. You can monitor the movements of other customers just by sitting facing the mirror. A very interesting space concept.

For furniture, Arborea Café chose wooden furniture with the same concept and design as the wood used as the basic floor material.

Arborea Café has a large outdoor space where you can also enjoy your coffee and be close to nature like this space. It is close to shady trees, even your insight about trees will increase if you want to read every description listed on the trees because each tree has a different type.

There are two possibilities that could happen, why I have just been there for 10 minutes. Social media makes this cafe overrated or I was just unlucky because the bad weather made outdoor places not fun to visit. I am genuinely aware that rain and drizzling give Arborea Cafe a gloomy vibe. Maybe I should try on another day.
