The Design Concept of Ovenmuni Cafe, Malang, East Java

Halo Architecture+Design friends...

Do you agree if I say that this community makes us addicted to visiting aesthetic, historical, and beautiful places in one place? It is me who can see a building from a different perspective, not just a building to attract visitors. Although I may not become an architect by studying the buildings I have visited, at least I get something new from there.

When we were on vacation in Malang some time ago, my friends and I took advantage of our day with culinary tourism. After finishing breakfast at a hawker, we walked to the hostel. Unexpectedly, on the way we saw a very unique cafe that had artistic value compared to other outlets that lined the area.

My friend and I didn't miss the opportunity to stop by the cafe, because we needed caffeine after a 12-hour journey from Jakarta to Malang by sleeper bus.

So, welcome to Ovenmuni Cafe, Malang...

Ovenmuni Cafe

Ovenmuni Café in the morning is rather quiet, they also just opened because when I entered I saw the staff looking busy at their grand counter. There were only two guests there who seemed busy chatting. This is a comfortable cafe to stop by, maybe because it is not too crowded so I feel confident when taking photos of this beautiful cafe.

This cafe has an interesting interior concept by leaving the cement color as the color of their walls. Because it maintains the natural color of the wall material, this cafe also has matching furniture so that it shows a concept not just an outlet.

You can see how the selection of furniture in the form of wooden benches and marble tables that have a similar color to the color of the cafe walls. The customer space and the arrangement of this room are quite neat and tidy, which makes this cafe feel comfortable. You can choose what kind of seat you like. There are benches with backrests, without backrests, and also long benches placed near the wall.

In addition to the selection of benches and chairs that have aesthetic value, this cafe has a trash can with a marble-patterned wooden cover, making the room clean and tidy.

I like to sit on the bench next to the wall because I can lean on my shoulder. After walking around following the car-free day activities in Malang, sitting while leaning is self-healing.

Judging by the writing on the window, Ovenmuni Café was just opened in 2020. And I recommend to anyone who is going to Malang, please stop by this cafe because they not only have delicious coffee but also pastries that are so soft and addictive. I ordered egg cake and that was yummy.

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.

The color of the cafe is a little gloomy but warm @viviehardika

How come you can see the gloomy there?
