an urban restaurant with a rustic design

Hello Architecture+Design Lovers, greetings, this is my first post in the architecture and design lover community. Today I got an invitation from a friend to attend a banquet because my friend retired from work. My friend held a banquet at a restaurant located in Medan City (capital of North Sumatra Province).

From the parking lot, you can see a beautiful and shady atmosphere that adorns the view of the restaurant from the front.

On the front page there is also an "antique car" which makes the "old times" atmosphere more pronounced.

This cafe is located in an urban area, we will find a beautiful rural atmosphere in this cafe and some ancient attributes such as the legendary ontel bicycle. The cafe manager has succeeded in pampering visitors with a "rural" design in a densely populated urban area.

In addition to the cool atmosphere of the cafe because there are many bamboo trees and trees in the cafe area.

there is also a typical rural "lesehan" seat (sitting on the floor while relaxing). we can choose a seat according to our mood, here there are many seats with traditional Javanese nuances (perhaps the owner of this cafe is Javanese ethnicity).

On the walls there are many decorations with puppet pictures, typical of Javanese ethnicity.

We can also choose a shaded outdoor seat with the feel of a beautiful garden view. The breeze that blows between the trees makes me sleepy, even though the weather is hot during the day, but because it is surrounded by trees, it makes me feel comfortable and cool.

or we can choose a place in a room surrounded by gardens, it feels like eating in the open.

This room is made of teak wood so it doesn't feel hot, even the wind is free to go in and out and make us not feel the hot weather.

Of course, in this restaurant there are also many good photo spots, like this one.

even the hand washing place is also made with a unique design that can be used as a place to take pictures too.

Parents who bring their children to this restaurant will usually be happy, because there is a children's play area and also a colorful fish pond.

Time to choose the menu

First I will choose the chicken satay menu with peanut sauce and tomato sauce.

I also ordered the honey spiced chicken, it was spicy and sweet.

Oops I also ordered tofu and cauliflower with yellow spice and sweet and sour sauce.

lastly I will order crispy purple eggplant.

After enjoying the dish, it's time to take pictures with friends.

my friends and I have visited this restaurant several times, the cool place with a rural feel and Javanese ethnicity makes us feel at home in this restaurant, some other visitors are also busy taking pictures in some places that look unique. In the midst of a stuffy city atmosphere, a beautiful and shady restaurant makes this restaurant always crowded with customers, of course friendly waiters with good service also support the visitors to come.
