RE: Visiting the Stars

Spaces where knowledge and people converge.

That's the greatest takeaway I got from your post dear @tibaire! Absolutely inspiring! Without a doubt, your featured Planetarium is one fantastic place where people can enjoy the best of both worlds: socialization and education. 👍😊

Of all the scientific exhibitions that caught your attention there, which particular one has intrigued you the most and why?

Some time ago I witnessed a talk about the position of the sun and stars on a specific day 50 years ago. The wall of the planetarium has the silhouette of the city of Caracas and it was very interesting to see the silhouette of certain buildings that still exist today and the referential output of the stars.

On a normal night, to my mortal eyes, I can't see the stars because of the city light, pollution and cloud cover. So that was the most interesting talk I have ever attended.

Amazing! That interesting talk must have opened your eyes to the marvelous wonders of the stars and their celestial relationships to the Earth, most especially to your beloved Caracas. 👍😊

You are absolutely right. In that talk I did open my eyes and they fell on the silhouette of Caracas drawn around the circumference of the wall.
