I could imagine the intense suffocation you felt in the presence of these extremely crowded buildings in the Merter district of Istanbul. For environmental advocates like us, it's simply unacceptable not to enjoy patches of green environments like trees, shrubs, flowers, plants, etc. in highly commercialized zones like these. Having said that, it seems that the majority of the establishments there are only after the main bottom line: money. It's a pity that the poor unsustainable conditions prevalent in that location would eventually deteriorate the surrounding population's health standards. Your government authorities must do something about this before it's too late.
Hello @oneplanet, a warm welcome to the Architecture+Design Community! Thank you for this interesting publication - indeed a wake-up call inviting all citizens to be stewards of our one and only planet. 😊
Thank you very much for your comment🙏 Im so happy when I read your comment. Turkey have signed the #Paris #Climate #Agreement in this year. For that reason, government and citizens have to protect the environment. Especially we have to decrease the #coal consumption. For more sustainable world we have to work together ✌️
With great pleasure @oneplanet. I'm truly glad Turkey has already pushed for the immediate implementation of positive measures for the care, rehabilitation, and development of our planet's natural resources. Again, as promising as these environmental objectives may seem on paper, "actions still speak louder than words" at the end of the day! I look forward to more awesome publications about architecture and design from you soon. Have fun! 😊
I will share lots of posts about architecture and design. I love this community✌️
