Last Sunday and Monday were national holidays in my country Indonesia and did not want the holiday to end in vain we decided to go to the border of my province of North Sumatra with the Aceh border, namely Langsa City. The distance from my city to Langsa City is approximately 4 hours and the journey to this city is not congested at all. The roads are also smooth even though when we walk towards it the view past the border is only oil palm plantations on the left and right. However, in this city of Aceh we will never get bored of walking through its culinary tourism because the prices are quite cheap in the pocket, especially for foreign tourists who have a high exchange rate difference.
After arriving at the border, I immediately looked for a homestay that had good reviews on the application. And this homestay is very easy to find because it is right in front of the first monument when entering Langsa City from Binjai. And when I looked at the reception, it turned out that all the rooms were full and only one room was left with a fan. I think it's okay because it's the rainy season so the weather is not too hot so air conditioning is not really needed, then we only need this room to put things and explore this city. and the price of the room offered starts from IDR 80,000 to IDR 150,000 or if exchanged for 5.2 U$ dollars - 9 U$ dollars.
With such a cheap price what can we expect. But it turns out I was wrong everything exceeded my expectations. Starting from the kitchen facilities and drinking water refill places that are very clearly needed when we are walking around, although the existing room type has a bathroom outside but the bathroom is very clean and spacious, and only my room type has a bathroom outside the rest of the bathrooms are in each room. This twin bed model room is equipped with a fan, small table, vanity mirror and towels and hangers. And outside the room there are 2 chairs and a table that can be used if you want to smoke or are bored in the room.
Incidentally my room is next to the receptionist room and from the lobby I found a waiting room sofa, a fish aquarium with various colors that are really charming, the homestay is very clean even though the ceramics used in this home stay have classic motifs with a classic style too. From the front view of the homestay, the shape of the house is indeed like an old house with white and brown paint. in front of the homestay itself there is a small flower garden that is deliberately maintained as well as when viewed from the side. This is not like most homestays but just like an ordinary house. a house with a classic style like a Dutch heritage can make visitors fast when staying here, the price is also cheap, the parking lot is spacious and this inn is always crowded with visitors.
And the night and day views can be seen in the pictures that I have shared. I almost forgot the name of the homestay I stayed in was PILAR. You can search for it when you go to Langsa. And this is the cheapest Homestay with the cleanest and most comfortable place that I have visited. And at night we will rest peacefully because there is nothing noisy in this inn. simple design with a strategic location, cleanliness that is maintained, comfort that is upheld, cheap prices make this Homestay worthy of getting a perfect score from me.
And when I come back to this city I will stay here again. Greetings from me maytom, Indonesia
Practicality is the name of the game when booking for inexpensive accommodations, right @maytom? This homestay doesn't need to have lavish architecture, but just enough functional design elements to serve the needs of its guests. ☺️
You understand what I mean friend. it's too much to expect a perfect design at a set price @storiesoferne
I am curious about the history of this landmark.
yes you are right..this monument has a lot of history in this city @viviehardika
Simple but functional design. That's all you require for a place to stay especially when searching for budget-friendly accommodations. Of all the spaces in this homestay that exceeded your expectations, which one was your favorite @maytom and why? ☺️
My favorite is the lobby which has soft sofas and overlooks fish in an aquarium of many colors @archmoments
Oh yeah, that's truly an awesome space. ☺️
What a great price for such a nice place. I like this homestay, it looks comfortable.
Yes of course @rosana6
Hi @maytom,the photo number 2 has has has a beautiful design and a great view that contrasts with the city, is it related to the history and origin of the town?
Greetings!
Yes, that's right and that is the history of the founding of the city @belkyscabrera
