In terms of construction, they have some strict rules and something like "feng shui" but their own. So, they can't just build things as they like. Not to mention, if their house is next to a temple, it's going to be another story.Unlike engraving in other traditional houses, theirs looks really grand with the choice of color that's often with a shade of gold,in comparison engraving in java which is often just wood color.
Not to mention, everyday, they give offerings nearby their structure to give blessing into the house. This is different in any other parts of Indonesia I've been too which makes it a unique experience. Even at clubs/night clubs they will do this as well.
Okay, I see. It must be a wonderful feeling to enjoy the grand often luxurious Balinese designs with golden accents as compared to the more traditional elements of only wood. These types of extraordinary aesthetics would give the impression of wealth, and power, showing an elite social class for families involved in Balinese architecture.
