The Sky Castle/ El Castillo de Las Nubes

Hello to all the members of this beautiful community, where knowing how to appreciate good design and architecture are part of everyday life. I am new to this community, and I am glad to be part of it. I have already read some posts of amazing places. It is wonderful to get to know new places through the eyes and experiences of other people. Something like traveling anywhere in the world without having to buy a plane ticket. I find it fascinating and enriching. That's why I want to return the gift you have already given me with your interesting publications. For me, the way to do it is to tell you about a place I visited recently: “The Sky Castle”.

Hola a todos los miembros de esta hermosa comunidad, donde saber apreciar el buen diseño y la arquitectura, son parte cotidiana del diario vivir. Soy nueva en esta comunidad, y me alegra poder formar parte de ella. He leído ya algunos post de lugares impresionantes. Es maravilloso poder conocer nuevos lugares a través de los ojos y vivencias de otras personas. Algo así como viajar a cualquier lugar del mundo sin necesidad de comprar un boleto de avión. Me parece fascinante y enriquecedor. Por eso quiero devolverles el regalo que ustedes ya me hicieron con sus interesantes publicaciones. Para mí, la manera de hacerlo es hablarles de un lugar que visité hace poco: “El Castillo de las Nubes”.

As its name suggests, it is a magical destination, located in Soroa, a Biosphere Reserve territory here in Cuba. From where you get captivating views because it is located about 250 meters above sea level.

Como su nombre lo indica es un destino mágico, ubicado en Soroa, territorio Reserva de la Biosfera aquí en Cuba. Desde donde se obtienen cautivadoras vistas debido a que se encuentra a unos 250 metros de altura sobre el nivel de mar.

It is a building that for its medieval appearance, is able to move us to the time of princesses, princes and their reigns. As can be seen, it is made of stone, which gives it great strength and resistance against deterioration and inclement weather, as well as a very rustic but pleasant aesthetic.
The castle is surrounded by lush vegetation, characteristic of this beautiful natural setting. In addition, it has a beautiful landscaping design, as the exterior areas are planted with regal palm trees, which give even more distinction and harmony to this beautiful building.

Constituye una edificación que por su apariencia medieval, es capaz de trasladarnos al tiempo de princesas, príncipes y sus reinados. Como se observa está fabricado de piedra, lo cual le da gran firmeza y resistencia contra el deterioro y las inclemencias del tiempo, así como una estética muy rústica pero agradable.
El castillo está rodeado de la exuberante vegetación, característica de este precioso paraje natural. Además, cuenta con un diseño de jardinería precioso, pues en las áreas exteriores están sembradas unas regias palmeras, que dan aún más distinción y armonía a esta bella edificación.

At present, The Sky Castle, has the function of a hotel, being the ideal place for those guests interested in enjoying a retreat to a natural and peaceful place, but with the elegance that identifies luxurious places like this. It consists of 6 comfortable rooms with wooden furniture and table lamps with a dim appearance and that by the softness of its light, bring tranquility and contribute to the relaxation of guests. They also give a special touch to the sober and simple decoration of the rooms, which does not detract from their charm. The castle is also adorned with perfectly carved wooden balconies, from which you can observe a treasure of natural beauty.

En la actualidad, el Castillo de Las Nubes, tiene la función de hotel, al ser el lugar ideal para aquellos huéspedes interesados en disfrutar de un retiro a un lugar natural y lleno de paz, pero con la elegancia que identifica sitios lujosos como este. Consta de 6 confortables habitaciones con mobiliario de madera y lámparas de mesa con una apariencia tenue y que por la suavidad de su luz, aportan tranquilidad y contribuyen al relax de los huéspedes. También dan un toque especial a la decoración sobria y sencilla de las habitaciones, lo cual no les quita para nada su encanto. Engalanan también a este castillo, balcones perfectamente tallados en madera, desde los cuales se puede observar un tesoro de belleza natural.

The bathrooms in the rooms are modern, with hot water showers and what I like most is the glass partition, as its use is very much in line with the new trends in hospitality, helping to obtain an air of neatness. As in the rest of the room, yellow and beige tones predominate in the bathrooms, promoting a warmer and cozier atmosphere. Making this castle a true paradise in the heights for leisure and enjoyment.

Los baños de las habitaciones son modernos, con duchas de agua caliente y lo que más me gusta es la mampara de cristal, pues su uso está muy acorde con las nuevas tendencias en hostelería, ayudando a obtener un aire de pulcritud. Al igual que en el resto de la habitación, en los baños predominan las tonalidades de amarillo y beige, fomentando un ambiente más cálido y acogedor. Haciendo de este castillo un verdadero paraíso en las alturas para el ocio y el disfrute.

Among the facilities of this beautiful facility is a refreshing swimming pool, which cannot escape from the incredible views that bear the Soroa seal. For the comfort of guests, the area has 6 loungers for the relaxation of bathers, while allowing them to be enraptured by the rich vegetation of the place. There is also a Snack Bar for the consumption of drinks and food. The same can be consumed at the bar, as in the open air.

Entre las facilidades de esta bella instalación, se encuentra una refrescante piscina, que no logra escapar de las vistas increíbles que llevan el sello de Soroa. Para comodidad de los clientes, el área cuenta con 6 tumbonas para el descanso de los bañistas, a la vez que les permite quedar extasiados con la riqueza de vegetación del lugar. También se observa un Snack Bar para el consumo de bebidas y alimentos. Lo mismo se puede consumir en la barra, que al aire libre.

When I was visiting this beautiful place, it was closed, but I was told that by September of this year, that is now, it would be operating for all those who wish to stay and enjoy its services and lovely views.
I hope soon to be able to return and stay in this fabulous tourist destination. And you, are you up for it?

Cuando estuve visitando este precioso lugar, estaba cerrado, pero me dijeron que para septiembre de este año, es decir ahora, estaría funcionando para todos aquellos que deseen hospedarse y disfrutar de sus servicios y vistas encantadoras.
