The Perfect Design for Peace and Eternal Rest | Eng-Esp | El Diseño Perfecto para la Paz y el Descanso Eterno

It is a real pleasure to greet you again through this community that is dedicated to highlighting Architecture and Design within the Hive ecosystem. For me it is an excellent opportunity to share my admiration for a sacred place in my hometown and at the same time complement a post I shared last week where I told you that we are in search of a special place for the eternal rest of my dad's ashes, because we have finally found this place and in this first cover image you can see the facade of the Parroquia La Resurrección del Señor in Maracay, Aragua State of Venezuela...

Es un verdadero placer saludarles nuevamente a través de esta comunidad que se dedica a resaltar la Arquitectura y el Diseño dentro del ecosistema de Hive. Para mí es una excelente oportunidad de compartir mi admiración por un lugar sagrado en mi ciudad de origen y al mismo tiempo complementar un post que compartí la semana pasada donde les conté que nos encontramos en la búsqueda de un lugar especial para el descanso eterno de las cenizas de mi papá, porque finalmente hemos encontrado este sitio y en esta primera imagen de portada pueden ver la fachada de la Parroquia La Resurrección del Señor en Maracay, Estado Aragua de Venezuela...

I will begin by telling you that a few days after my father's death we decided to visit this beautiful church, since we were told that they were building a new phase of columbaria for the ashes of the deceased. I had not visited this parish for years, and although it is still under construction, there are remarkable advances in its infrastructure. This image that I share here is a sculpture representing the Resurrection of Jesus, and that is precisely the name of the parish. This first day that we went to ask about the columbarium, the sculpture did not exist and I was surprised that in less than two weeks we could already appreciate this work of art at the entrance, besides the fact that the construction work was already finished.

Comenzaré por comentarles que a los pocos días del fallecimiento de mi padre decidimos acercarnos a esta hermosa iglesia, ya que nos mencionaron que estaban en construcción de una nueva fase de columbarios para el descanso de las cenizas de los difuntos. Tenía años sin visitar esta parroquia, y aunque aún se encuentra en construcción, hay notables avances en su infraestructura. Esta imagen que comparto aquí al lado es una escultura que representa la Resurrección de Jesús, y precisamente así se llama la parroquia. Este primer día que pasamos a preguntar por los columbarios la escultura no existía y me sorprendió que en menos de dos semanas ya podíamos apreciar esta obra de arte en la entrada, además de que el trabajo de construcción ya estaba terminado.

As you can see in the image above, the space is very large and the church has a hexagon shape. Its design is quite simple, very homemade, and I am referring to the wooden roof and all that piping that makes it look like a roofed court. As in some theaters it has upper balconies for people to stand on when the parish is full of parishioners, and well, it still does not have stained glass windows and for the moment there are not so many saints around, so I promise to come back later and see how the construction of the church continues.

Como pueden apreciar en la imagen de arriba, el espacio es muy amplio y la iglesia tiene forma de hexágono. Su diseño es bastante simple, muy casero, y me refiero al techo de madera y toda esa tubería que la hace ver como una cancha techada. Como en algunos teatros posee unos balcones superiores para que las personas se ubiquen arriba cuando la parroquia este llena de feligreses, y bueno, aún no cuenta con vitrinas en sus ventanas y de momento no existen tantos santos en sus alrededores, así que prometo volver más adelante y ver cómo continúa la construcción de la misma.

On the outside, its beautiful design shines in brick color at the top and cement color at the bottom. The surrounding area has many bushes and allows you to hear the singing of the birds that rest there, besides being a residential area where there is not much flow of vehicles, so peace reigns even at the top of the tower. As I mentioned before, the reason that took us to this holy place was to look for a columbarium to leave my dad's ashes. In a previous post my friend @maitt87 recommended me to trust the columbarium in Santa Cruz de Aragua, but we felt a very special connection with this place, besides considering it closer to home. In the images I will share with you below I want to show you what the resting place for the ashes of the deceased looks like. I just want to add that there is a lot of sound of birds and that the garden is very well kept and next to the temple where masses are celebrated.

Por fuera brilla su hermoso diseño en color ladrillo en la parte superior y color cemento en la parte inferior. Sus al rededores tienen muchos arbustos y permite que se escuche el canto de los pájaros que ahí reposan, además de ser una zona residencial donde no hay mucho flujo de vehículos, así que reina la paz hasta en lo más alto de su torre. Como indiqué anteriormente, el motivo que nos llevó hasta este lugar santo fue buscar un columbario para dejar las cenizas de mi papá. En un post anterior mi amiga @maitt87 me recomendó confiar en los columbarios de Santa Cruz de Aragua, pero sentimos una conexión muy especial con este sitio, además de considerarlo más cerca de casa. En las imágenes que les compartiré a continuación quiero mostrarles cómo es el sitio de descanso para las cenizas de los difuntos. Solo quiero agregar que hay mucho sonido de aves y que el jardín está muy cuidado y al lado del templo donde se celebran las misas.

In that last brown row that you can see in the picture above is where my father's ashes will rest, in the third row from the bottom to the top. We are really satisfied with this acquisition, plus there is room for three more family members, which assures us that more members of our family could rest in this same place and together. This area is very nice because although it is not appreciated there is a small swimming pool in the area of the silver in the lower part where the water flows constantly and adds to the sound of nature, it really is a place that conveys a lot of peace.

En esa última hilera color café que pueden apreciar en la fotografía de arriba es donde descansarán las cenizas de mi padre, en la tercera fila de abajo hacia arriba. Nos encontramos realmente satisfechos de esta adquisición, además de que hay espacio para tres familiares más, lo que nos asegura que más miembros de nuestra familia podrían descansar en este mismo sitio y juntos. Es muy agradable esa zona porque aunque no se aprecia hay una pequeña piscina en la zona de las platas en la parte de abajo donde el agua fluye constantemente y se suma al sonido de la naturaleza, de verdad es un sitio que transmite mucha paz.

A very special feature of this church is that the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar, the most precious commodity in every Catholic parish in the world, is located in a separate area to the left of the altar. In this area there is air conditioning because it is already finished and closed. It is also the only part at the moment where you can see the Catholic images, such as this Resurrected Jesus that you see here on the side and that honors the name of the church. The ceiling is beautiful, it is lined with a blue sky where white doves fly and in the center there is a big and strong rock that is used as an altar and follows the rustic design of the temple as such. Undoubtedly it is a dream space and I think the pictures I took do not do full merit to so much beauty.

Una característica muy especial de esta iglesia es que el Santísimo Sacramento del Altar, el bien más preciado en cada parroquia católica del mundo se encuentra en un sitio aparte, a la izquierda del altar. En esta zona sí existe aire acondicionado porque ya está terminada y está cerrada. También es la única parte de momento donde se pueden apreciar las imágenes católicas, como este Jesús Resucitado que ven aquí al lado y que hace honores al nombre de la iglesia. El techo es precioso, está forrado de un cielo azul donde vuelan palomas blancas y en el centro hay una roca grande y fuerte que se usa como altar y sigue el diseño rústico del templo como tal. Sin duda alguna es un espacio de ensueño y creo que las fotografías que tomé no hacen mérito total a tanta belleza.

I am very pleased to have known this place, it is a beauty in the middle of the city. I hope to continue to appreciate the growth and construction of the church, because I will continue to visit my dad's ashes and celebrate the holy mass in thanksgiving for the repose of his soul. Estoy muy complacido de haber conocido este sitio, es una belleza en medio de la ciudad. Espero seguir apreciando el crecimiento y construcción de la iglesia, porque seguiré yendo a visitar las cenizas de mi papá y celebrar la santa misa en acción de gracias al descanso de su alma.
