I have a question in regards to these parts of the post:
"There are no special requirements or prerequisites needed to be part of our friendly tribe. Regardless of your profession, occupation, or status, whether you're an architect, designer, engineer, artist, educator, student, entrepreneur, housewife, etc."
And:
We highly discourage people from pretending to be someone they're not! Let's illustrate an applicable scenario. If you're a Civil Engineer and are personally practicing professional duties, roles, and responsibilities that are supposed to be legally performed by an Architect, this is absolutely unacceptable in our community.
I am not a professional city planner or urban designer and won't pretend to be one, but I'm still interested in both subjects as an artist. My creative projects cover both subjects and my original college study was city planning before switching to business (sadly).
In regards to creative projects that cover both topics, what is the proper format for a post? I'm into critiques, new concepts, reviews or sharing ideas. Thanks for reading over and look forward to seeing content from this community.
Hello @dcardinal1985. Thank you very much for your comprehensive review of this publication. Let's go over your questions:
As per the 5 main content categories permitted for our posts, you are not required to be an Architect, Interior Designer, Furniture Designer, Urban Designer, or Environmental Designer to be an active author in the Architecture+Design Community. All you need is an authentic desire, curious mind, and passionate interest in these topics. Your previous exposure to city planning and your creativity as an artist is enough to drive your engines. What we meant was we don't simply allow the illegal practice and overlapping of technical responsibilities of a professional other than what's legally required from them. You can also share your business insights from an architecture and design perspective.
So, are you currently working as a freelancer on city planning for urban design firms?
There are no strict rules when formatting your posts. However, please ensure that you must follow the minimum preferred standard such as the minimum number of words for our publications. Typically, for most of our content, we've advised authors to create posts covering 50% of the project descriptions, backstory, and technical data and the other 50% dealing with personal experiences, thoughts, impressions, criticisms, suggestions, etc. in relation to the discussed subject matter.
Hope to have answered your clarifications. Let us know if you have more questions.
