As the time goes by...it seems as though time is running faster than the usual. I remember vividly wishing my family and friends Happy New Year like it was yesterday, and here I am doing the same just in a twinkle of an eye. From my experience, I've come to realize that the older you get, the more you realize that you have less time on your side.
It's like being in an Examination hall and you are given two hours to be done with your examination and to submit. At that initial stage, two hours may look more than enough time for you. Time would appear to be moving accurately. But when you begin to approach about the last quarter of the time you were given, the speed at which the seconds are moving would appear to you like the speed milliseconds use. This feeling is mostly experienced when you still have quite a number of unanswered questions, which leads to me to this week's prompt.
There's a popular saying that "time is not on your side", which I totally agree with. In my opinion, time is neither against you. Time is not your friend, neither is it your enemy. Time is not partial to anyone. From the first day of the year, it is important to act swiftly just like when the time kicks off in the exam hall. So this year, I have decided to commence straight ahead with the goals I've got queued up for this year.
The first thing I hope to achieve this year is relevant connection. One of the most striking adages that got stuck in my heart in the year 2024 is that "If you want to go fast, walk alone. But if you want to go far, walk with people." I wish to go far this year, so this means I need to establish working relationship and connections with people. I didn't really have much of that in 2024 and that's an error I plan on correcting.

Another thing I hope to get myself involved in is rigorous exercising. I've come to realize that the best investment you can get yourself involved with is in the area of your health. Exercising is way beyond just getting in shape in your physical appearance, it does a lot of good in your body internally which one may not be able to see. While experiencing all the good things in life I've prayed and worked for, I would love to enjoy them with a "good health"; no kind of wealth beats that.

Last year, I saw myself run into quite a series of debts. It has been a bit of a habit of me for sometime now but that of last year was just something else. So I've decided that this year, I hands off from anything that echoes "debt!" Through God's help, I've been able to settle every previous debts. It wasn't easy settling them.
To be honest, at some point I felt like not paying back, with the hope that they'll understand, and if they don't, I wasn't going to care. But my conscience just wouldn't let me go along with it. I managed to pay people I owed, with just one remaining which I am working towards taking care of. After that, it's going to be an end of that chapter for me.
Making new year resolutions and sticking with them till the end can be quite an uneasy task, but with hardwork and consistency, I strongly believe that anything can be achieved. Resilience is needed when setting out on a course. Happy new year @hivereachout
