It's the Season of Love. Spread it!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son…”
That son God gave us because he loved us (the world), is the reason we celebrate Christmas. God is love, love is giving, giving is spreading joy and happiness!

I know that we should show love all the time and anywhere we find ourselves, but should it be any different on Christmas? The answer to this question is in how others treat you and how you treat yourself differently on your birthday, you feel me? Yes, you do!

So, if you are one who spreads love all the time; you share your food with your office colleague like @joe2580 shares with me, you share updates with people around you that will improve the quality of their lives like @ovey10, or you do community reachout like @ekojah and @fasacity, or you probably have something nice to say to people to brighten their day, congratulations, you're an ambassador of love. But how should you show love this Christmas? I don't know, I have no idea, but I think you should show love in a special way to those who need it the most, in a way you've not shown love all year. I will try to spend time with the children in an orphanage this Christmas.

I had you in mind when I picked this rose flower.

But if you're not in the above category, you can start somewhere. You know that uncle you've not spoken to in years? Call him. Call his family. Wish them a merry Christmas and say something nice to them. They offended you, right? Be the bigger person, show them love. Those children in your street that greet you all the time, but sweets for them if you can. Sit with your family members and tell them how much you value them. Spread, joy and laughter this yuletide season. Send your old school teacher airtime, they may not need it but they will appreciate it. And lest I forget, you can adopt a pet too.

Want some cake?

The tradition of sharing food with our neighbours did not start because our neighbours have nothing to eat on Christmas day. Matter of fact, they probably have more than we do, but we share regardless because that's how to show that we love them. We visit friends and relatives on Christmas day not because our couches at home are tired of having us. We go visiting because we love our friends and relatives and we want to share the joy of the season. That tradition should live on. You must do all in your power to see that it does.

Should I leave a book recommendation? If you're a reader, read Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Wow is truly a season of love and sharing indeed. Thanks for the mention.

Yeah.. That tradition isn't supposed to die, not now, not anytime soon. That is one of the reasons that made me love the season of Christmas, the joy of meeting old friends, sharing in love and joy with neighbors and love ones makes everything about the season interesting..

A good lesson learnt from your new idea of celebrating xmas. Merry xmas and happy new year in advance.

Thank you. Hav a joyful holiday!
