A Christmas Reachout; My Best Christmas Experience

Hello everyone, how are you doing today. Merry Christmas to everyone and a Prosperous new year in advance.

Christmas is a love season and it is very important to show love to people. It is also a season of selflessness and reaching out to other people who may not really have what to enjoy themselves with. Reaching out to people makes me feel happy no matter how small the gifts is, I tend to feel very satisfied when I make the next person very happy even when it is always at the detriment of mine.

My best Christmas experience was seven years ago, when my dad and the rest of us needed to suprise the church with tubers of yam and some bags of Rice. In our church, pastors are always transferred to another place to serve after four years, so my dad was transferred to serve in a rural area. When we went there we discovered that our Church members could barely feed and in those trying times, they were still giving out to us in a way of caring for the Pastor. Some times my dad would want to reject their gifts but I would always tell him no matter how small the gift is or even when you know that they are feeding well, just collect the gifts because that will contribute to their blessings.

We decided to suprise them on the first Christmas we witnesses with them. They so happy and some of them were teary. I was so happy too because I was part the plan, I also added value to people's lives. I was not happy because I could give, but there was so much joy in my heart that those old women, those orphan and those widows were happy. Some of them who had no hope of celebrating Christmas that particular year were so happy because they were given some food stuffs.

After they received those food stuffs, they sang and danced for us. They told us how they did not want us to be transferred.

Reaching out to people, is the best thing I have done in my life and it makes me feel complete that I have done something very special. Sometimes I don't want to talk about it and sometimes I don't really need an applause from anyone. It should be a normal thing to reach out to other people.

Love is the reason for Christmas and we should not just love ourselves alone, we should also make sure that those people who cannot celebrate this season have a reason to celebrate.

The street children, the widows, the old people, those who have leaved in the hospital for years. Try to give people hope and make them expect something in the future. Tell them them how their future is bright and let them know that life is beautiful even in their worst moment. Sometimes we need to make money for other people to enjoy, do not just use your money alone make sure that you have the less privileged in mind.

Thank you!!

I invite @johnuko, @hively, and @mummygo to join this initiative.

It's wonderful and appealing to see things like this. The look on people's face when you show them such love is just rewarding.
