How do you Manage Your Anger: Go Crazy or Stay Calm? Find Out!

in Hive Reachout3 days ago

hehehe...you can clap for me and welcome me as well)Hello, #Hive_Reachout community and fellow members! So yeah, this is my first time posting in this community (

I came across this week's writing prompt and quickly remembered the day I got very angry and how I managed it. So yeah, the pictures above say it all(talk about first impression!) but then it's not what you think.😂 Imagine yourself being angry and snapping pictures of yourself angry; that's quite crazy, right? Yeah, that's me😂🙌

Back to the focus for the week. Anger is an emotion that is triggered by a force, something,, or someone. It is not always an intentional thing on the part of an individual to be angry (something must always provoke the emotion.)

For someone like me, it could be the slightest unnecessary things and not always the big things; one time, I got angry with a friend for eating food and not calling me to join in ( the food was meant for two, and I was very hungry too.) The other day, my Mom was talking and shouting at me for something I didn't do; she didn't hear from both sides of the story and ended up accusing me (that's my mom for you anywhere). I had every reason to be angry that day but then as the kind of person I am, I managed my anger through the following ways:

  1. I kept quiet and didn't respond to her words: I'm not the type to talk back at someone immediately because I might end up saying the most dreadful of things, so I just kept quiet.

  2. I left the environment immediately for some fresh air because I noticed I was getting boiled up, so I quietly sneaked out of the house to avoid hearing more hurtful words.

  3. I go back to reflect on the words and reason for the right words to say and respond after a few hours.

  4. I listened to music to stay calm and sort things out on my part. There is this thing about music being a therapy, it really helps calms ones emotions.

I smile more than I frown or get angry.

It is very important to manage your anger whenever you are angry. I would rather suggest you stay calm. Although there are people who naturally just vent it out on you and say their mind,( In my side, they will just change it for you wototo😂😂) there are others that use the violence method (these ones either beats you or use physical tools to hurt and harm you.) But then the right thing to always do is remain calm. Take a walk, listen to music, or sort out things in a calm tone.

So how do you manage your anger?
I will be waiting to hear from you too.

I tag @henrypeter and @hiveenthusiatist to participate in this prompt.

I like how you managed the situation with your emotions there. It's best to avoid speaking at the instant so you don't say some words you'll regret later. Thanks for sharing this.

And I've not seen someone angry and then take a picture of them in that mood but thanks to you I'm seeing it today 😄

Hehehe .....😅

Thank you!

Handling anger is not so easy but the labor to control it is worth it. The method that works best for me often is the walking away. Sometimes music too works.

Sure!

I love the way you kept quiet when your mom shouted at you.You did not talk back at that moment. It is actually one of the best ways of managing anger.Am sure you will do the same when others shouted at you

I don't like being shouted at, I quietly walk away if anything of such happens.

Thank you for your kind words.
